Prime Pantry (1 Viewer)

Hmmm. Would have to offer some pretty significant savings to make up for paying 6 bucks a box.

We go to the grocery store once a week and it takes maybe 40 minutes tops. Not really a major inconvenience.

I wonder how they stack up prise wise vs Walmart?

I just checked the price on a few items I bought at Sam's Club last weekend (Cliff bars & 5 hour energy) and Sam's blows Amazon away, both pantry and the regular site.

Those are just a few items, but I am sure Amazon is more competitive on other things.

This is a great idea for the people who don't mind spending a few extra bucks for convenience. It is pretty easy to shop looking at a bunch of pictures.

I don't get the concept really. I'm paying for prime. That makes me eligible for free shipping on certain things no matter the cost. Pantry makes me buy multiple things to fill the box and then charges $6 to ship? And how long until it arrives?

I'm trying to figure out the best way for household and baby stuff. Wife is going to have a c-section and driving will be limited. Pricing and convenience has potential, but I feel like this should just be rolled into the 79-100 of prime.

Next question is whether there is some simple way to navigate to amazon mom that I'm not seeing. I have to click the link from my coupons email to access the deals? Should they be automatic and shouldn't there be a page easily linked to via amazon homepage or app to shop the baby related items.

Sorry to muck it all up, baby coming soon!

I actually enjoy going to Costco. The store is so spacious and the selection is limited but all high quality so you're not overwhelmed with choice. I just wish they were open later.

Doesn't seem to be that much of savings.

And it seems like everything I get from Amazon requires a signature or it gets delayed by a couple of days and I have to go to the post Office to get it

Pass

Take a step back and think about the cost & time to pack a box. They need an order picker to walk the grocery isles and grab a box full of individual items. Then they need to pack it all in a box and ship. That's quite a bit more work than just grabbing a single item like they usually do.

The best thing for you to do would be subscribe and save on things like diapers, then just go to the store for other stuff. If you feel like paying for the convenience of not spending 20min at Walmart, then use amazon grocery. The thing is you still have to get milk, eggs, etc. From a regular grocery store, so you might as well just grab all that other stuff there as well.
