Pro Bowl Snubs (1 Viewer)

CB Richard Sherman didn't get in, but its not a mystery as to why. The suspicion surrounding his recent near suspension kept him out. The NFL in general holds players to a higher standard when it comes to awards. They keep guys out of the hall of fame (or at least delay admittance) when they had a shady past. I get that and I'm okay with it.

Doug Martin and Alfred Morris are more deserving than Frank Gore, and Vincent Jackson and Dez Bryant are more deserving than Cruz/Julio.

I am pretty sure there is a rule in the NFL that you can't win awards if you are suspended for PED's, so even though he appealed and won at the time the pro bowl voting took place and spot were awarded he wasn't eligible. I agree with Dez, V Jax, Martin, Morris, and DT. I would also argue that Roddy White should be on the team over Julio, and no reason for Frank Gore to be on there. I am not saying Schaub isn't deserving but you could make a case for Luck, or Dalton in that spot and I wouldn't argue.

That's not true. If it were, then he wouldn't have been able to play while the appeal was happening. This isn't the criminal justice system, there's no "innocent until proven guilty" expectation, but the ruiling isn't final until the appeal is heard. Obviously though it's why he wasn't voted in because there's a very strong argument for him being the best CB in the league. Hopefully it won't affect the All Pro voting.

Julio Jones made the pro bowl? Why?
finished 7th overall at WR in our nonPPR league....I mean, he had a 1140/10 season. Nothing otherworldly, but very good
What does FF have to do with the pro bowl? I like the guy and think he has the tools, but he isn't deserving of a pro bowl selection. It has to be due to the Falcons record.

What hurt Dez the most is that the voting for the pro bowl was already closed before he had his monster game last week. Not that I care about the pro bowl anymore, can't see myself watching that game ever again. Now making All-Pro, now that is an honor, maybe Dez has a shot.

I agree Julio in no wy should have made it. Not because of Atl record though. If that was the case, R. White would have gone in his place. IMO, he should have.

He has no shot. The two WR All-Pros will be Calvin Johnson and either AJ Green or Brandon Marshall. I can't see anyone else having a prayer.

But he was chosen over his teammate Roddy White, who had more catches and more yards.
Alright, Im not saying whether it was deserved or not... Just stating facts. He finished 7th in Fantasy (which a lot of ppl care about, rightfully or not) had 1100+yds and 10tds. it's a very good season.Pro Bowl worthy? depends who you ask

Pro Bowl is a joke. Look no further than Jeff Saturday. How can you make the pro bowl if you get benched by your own team for poor play. Popularity contest, nothing more.

By the way another snub is the fact that no offensive lineman from the Vikings made the squad yet they have the leagues leading rusher and no passing game.

Nobody mentioned Brees?
Because he sucked this year
:confused:Not quite.
Sucked might be a strong word, but he sucked compared to Drew Brees standards and the rest of the pro bowl quarterbacks standards this year. He is 5th in the NFC in quarterback rating, he is also fifth in the NFC in qbr (I only counted one 49er quarterback) and he has 23 total turnovers this year on an 8 - 8 team. It is easy to see why he was left off.

The falcons. What a joke the pro bowl is. The 2-13 chiefs have 5 guys in it and the 13-2 falcons have 3. Nuff said.
Different conferences Falcons players weren't competing against Chief players for Pro Bowl spots

Andrew Luck. Schaub, really?
I love Luck and to start a franchise would take him all day over Schaub obviously, but for this yearLuck - 325/599/4183 21/18 75.6Schaub - 326/508/3733 22/10 92.4Schaub seems like a reasonable pick out of the two just given the stats and records. Obviously Luck means more to his team than Schaub but I dont believe that is necessarily what the Pro Bowl voting is all about (I am not really sure what it is about). Statistically speaking, Schaub is not a joke for the choice though.I think just looking at it from the statistical view, you could argue Ben just about as much as Luck.

Look at Luck's rushing TDs too. Can't leave those out. Schaub is on a much better team. I look at him as the ultimate game manager.

But, whatever. Luck will get his opportunities.

Definitely Martin over Gore.Dez got the shaft and should have made it instead of Cruz or Julio. Cruz didn't have good 2nd half.DT should have been in too but Wayne and Welker had great seasons as well.

Schaub looking like a Pro Bowl QB again today. NOT!
Definitely not looking it today. But he has been solid this year. That said, Luck will be an all pro many times over...pro bowl not relevant.

Maybe they're awful in pass protection? Run-blocking is only half the equation.

They aren't horrible pass blockers, they slowed the 49ers defense earlier this year and others, Ponder just sucks
