Procreate-gate: Lynch Fined Again for Grabbing Crotch

Yeah, not sure I see the rationale of complaining about getting in trouble for not talking to the media when you sign a contract that says you have to talk with the media. To his credit though, I don't think Lynch has actually complained about this himself, right? He seems to be OK just taking the fines.
yeah

I'd say he's thankful

but he don't wanna get fined, boss

what's so ####### hard about just saying "we're on to new england"
He's just bout that action boss

Lynch is one of my favorite players as he just makes a mockery out of the press
Good, the media is a bunch of giant tools.

At some point all this will change and the major sports will realize how damn stupid these media people are, and the players will just record themselves talking and maybe answering some questions someone from the team has them answer That way they don't have to sit/stand in front of 20 idiots with microphones asking stupid questions that purposely try to make guys mad to attempt to get some sort of headline grabbing quote.

Forcing the guys to talk to these idiots the way they currently do post game interviews is absolutely ridiculous. Forcing them to talk at all is ridiculous. There is certainly no shortage of players who would like to get on camera and talk.

I don't really care if he talks to the media or not. The issue is he grabbed his crotch after his touchdown, which should have been a 15 yard penalty. And giving the Packers better field position and a better opportunity to score a TD. The Packers were denied a trip to the Super Bowl because of crotch-gate. Seattle = Cheaters

He could have just been adjusting his junk.
Yeah. That is what he was doing. He just happens to have to do that inmediately after scoring TDs.
And having just run 24 yards for the score. NFL is out to get Lynch because he won't talk to the media. If you think any different you're being foolish.
You interested in ocean front property in Arizona?
I'll just stick with a Seahawks Super Bowl win in Arizona.

That is cool. It won't make you less ignorant though.

His whole job is to be entertaining. Being good at being a running back is a nice little side skill, but the real utility to the owners of these franchises only comes if he keeps entertaining people. I find this entertaining.
So you enjoy watching a man squeeze his crotch. Hey, to each their own. Either you are a woman or a gay man. That is okay. I have no problem with women or gay men.
He didn't say he found it arousing. He said he found it entertaining.
What could possibly be entertaining about it?
You and Freelove have different ideas about what is entertaining. Glad we've got that settled.
Now we need your stance. You like it? Would you like Lynch to grab his #### in your general direction?
I'm assuming you've never competed against other men at a high level.
In what? Sports or a non-sport competition? Does it matter, anyway? #### grab is accepted somewhere? It is considered normal and I have just completely missed this somehow?

Unless you are trolling, you know Lynch does it to taunt the opposition.

I know this thread is a joke in light of the Pats ball stuff BUT just wanted to point out that usually Lynch stops about a foot after the line drops the ball and walks off the field shaking hands. Pretty sure he's only done the hold my #### thing after 2 of the better runs in history and then when he scored the go ahead TD in one of the craziest comeback games ever to go to the Super Bowl.

If he starts doing it after every TD then yeah that's going to get old.

He deserves to be fined because they have to but this seems 100 times better than say Cam Newton doing his lame ### Superman thing when he scores a meaningless TD.

hey lynch --- if you want to see how a grown man handles public speaking check out belichick's presser today

No, he does it to taunt the hypocrites running the NFL. And thin-skinned fans.
I only know him to have done it three times. These were three especially important plays. You imply it wasn't done to taunt the opponent. Maybe you are right. We will agree to disagree. Another guy who did the exact same thing in a game last year was flagged for taunting.

The sad thing is that he won't have $20k to his name within 5 years of retiring.
It's sort of fun watching you go through all the stages of grief on a message board. I see we're still in "anger"
I see it as a keen observation of a lot of star NFL players. Sad thing is he won't be able to get bailed out by ESPN doing a pre game show.

Right...however I needed a word to rhyme with "gate."

I was going back and forth between procreate and master$@&% (self edited) but figured the latter would be more shocking and frowned upon by the mods.

Plus, most NFLers are actively procreating in a city near you (us).

I gotta laugh at the people trying to make fun of the media on here and saying Lynch doesn't have to talk.

What happens if everyone stops talking? If it's not required I already know Bellicheck outlaws it for his team and likely others follow. You now have a dip in NFL coverage as you can only cover how NFL players give tickets to the Super Bowl so many times.

A dip in the ability to cover the sport potentially means ESPN invests time elsewhere and that time and coverage gets moved to another sport to start eating into the NFL timeshare which right now his huge.

In the end the #1 thing you want is as much coverage as possible. With athletes being forced to talk it allows the media enough access to get from Sunday to Sunday.

If Lynch wants to talk he can get a normal job, I hear there is plenty work from home jobs where he would never have to talk to anyone.

maybe lynch should think about playing in the cfl --- they probably wouldn't give a #### if he played barefoot

What if everyone stops talking?? Seriously??
Is it that far fetched that the players who you actually would want to hear from would never talk? I can 100% see Bellicheck not allowing his team to talk and with his sucess other teams are likely to follow or at least will try.

Sure there will be alot of players who will talk but the requirement goes beyond when even the loudmouth players want to talk but also forces them to take questions even after a bad loss for instance. It gives the media access guaranteed to who they want to ask questions to for the most part.

Kill this requirement and your looking a less media coverage likely as there is less stories and more interesting stories in other sports to cover. Everyone keeps thinking the NFL is some untouchable league when in reality it has every chance of boxing to being relegated to some 3rd tier sport if they don't stay on top of things.

Yet the more some of these guys talk the worse the league looks.Plus maybe they could wait till more than ONE guy out of 2000 declines to talk before handing out huge fines.

So in other words give players a free pass to go against league rules as long as it's only one or two of them? What other rules can they break and the league not care? Did you not think it's just one player because it's a damn rule they have to talk and most players are not big enough morons to try and take on the league rules when they are guaranteed to lose?

Can players skip mandatory offseason workouts? I mean if it's only one person than its all good right?

In the end there is not a good reason for players not to be required to talk as it really only helps the league a large majority of the time. also from my understanding it's not really that big of a requirement when it comes to time. If you want to be in the NFL then suck it up and if you have an issue bring it up to the union that NFL players should have the ability to challenge reporters credentials if they ask stupid questions all the time.

I said it is a dumb rule, not to let them break the rules. As with any rule if you break it, you deserve the consequences. But that doesnt mean the rule isnt stupid.

If anything there are a lot of players the NFL should mandate they do NOT talk

Most of the media outlets (i.e. ESPN, major networks) are business partners with the NFL. They pay heavily to broadcast the games and to get access to players. Are the players going to videotape the games on their Iphones and upload it to YouTube also?

It doesn't have to rhyme. "Water" doesn't rhyme with "gate." Neither do "spy" or "bounty." Let's just go with crotchgate.

Gotcha. I do like master$%#@gate the best though.

crotch-gate is easily the best name for it.

Even though I hate anything and everything with the stupid "gate" endings. Someone needs to come up with something more original

imagine baseball had masturgate rules? the amount of fines levied would equal our national debt
Other than Papelbon, who did get fined and/or suspended, what MLB player did what Lynch did?
Google 'baseball player grabs crotch' and start counting. So, can we (finally) agree Lynch was just adjusting his cup?

;)
There is a difference between grabbing it to taunt the opposition and grabbing it due to itching.
