Needed a fan for the back patio. Got the heaters for the winter, but this the first summer here. I did what I always do, when in doubt, and just got what Sam's had. This Lasko floor fan is a beast. Moves a ton of air and is relatively quiet.  And about half the price of what Amazon had it for ($70 vs $126). Pretty sure I'm going to get at least 2 more to have inside the house and in the shop. When the AC goes and I'm not quite ready to replace, I could see these things making bearable for a while.

Aren’t you in Lynchburg?  Did you move?

That SoVa heat in the summer time.....unbearable.

I am looking for recommendations on a instant read cooking thermometer.  Looking at the thermopen but not sure I want to drop a bill on it.  I have the Weber I grill mini which I love.  For any of you bbq guys out there it works great imho.

I got this one (wireless) and love it

I'm big into marinades for meat.  have used all the powder stuff where you add oil, etc.   Yoshidas is the best ever IMO for steak, chicken, et al.   Used to be only sold at Costco but you can get it elsewhere now.  Comes in 44 ounce plastic bottle.  Marinade meat up to two days in the fridge.  I get rave reviews every time.   you will not be disappointed!!!

I see there are several flavors. Which one(s) do you recommend?

Love the Maple Farms Fat Free Salad Dressing.  The greek and balsamic vinegar in particular are very tasty.  All other FF stuff I've tried was awful.
My wife has this stuff with almost every meal, puts it on everything as she has dietary restrictions (oil, butter, dairy intolerance). I'm not one for FF stuff in general but am glad she doesn't have to eat the blandest of bland foods because these dressings exist.

I need something to get rid of a stinky bathroom sink.  It doesn't smell until you turn water on and then this odor comes wafting up that is god awful.  Must be a lot of guck in there.

What works best?

take the largest pot you have, fill it with water, bring it to a boil and pour it down the sink. Repeat until the stink is gone

Folding Landscaping Saw - Love this saw. Works great on every type of wood I have come across. Really quick and clean cuts. HIGHLY recommended.

Waterproof Wireless Earbuds - Doubt you could find better for under $20

Proraso After Shave Lotion - Love the scent, not over powering and it leaves my face feeling super smooth (Pretty sure someone here suggested this before so full credit goes to the unknown FBG)
I use my mpow headphones almost daily at the gym

Tried to use the search function here and I know Robot Vacuums have been discussed, but what is the best?  Im finally cracking and getting one now that we moved to a larger place, although still small by footballguys standards.  3 bedroom all hardwood.  We have a small dog who doesnt shed so doesnt matter much.  Anyone have a recommendation?  Ive been reading reviews but there are so many different options its hard to pick the real winner.  What are you guys using and how do you like it?

I had a high end Roomba about 2 years ago.  Low profile carpet and hardwood it was awesome.  We have a few rugs that are a little thicker and while it motored through them it would get stuck under the couch.  Back it went.

I do a lot of materials sampling in my job and by far my favorite and most versatile tool is this 14-in-1 painters tool: LINK

Great scraper, knife, etc. And the fact that it folds up is a HUGE bonus.

I need a canister vacuum cleaner.  Anyone got a winner?
Spend the extra $ and get a Miele.

We had a popular name brand model before. Lasted a couple years. Can't recall what it was. It started to fail and then I had to macgyver the thing every couple months.

Bought this probably 7 years ago or so. Cleaning lady uses it every two weeks. It's a winner.

Thanks.  I'll check it out.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an blutooth earbud for listening to podcast? I recently got one off of Amazon for $10-$15, and I like it, but the volume is too low.  I don't need anything like Dre Beats, or the $150 Pixel buds, but want something a little better.

Since I recommend the Wyzecam almost a year ago, they have come out with a Wyzecam Pan for only $30.  My two $20 wyzecams have been great so far, and I have them outdoors.  Not a top of the line system, but at a great price point and free clud storage, it's a great option for the Average Joe Bezos out there.
