Luis Castillo, who'll take over him if he's there.
Berrios, Wood, Arrietta, McCullers, Stroman and Price all in his general tier
I dont know. Luis Castillo is a non-prospect who suddenly had a small sample size of success in MLB last season. Ohtani is supposed to be one of the greatest international FA ever and suddenly had a small sample size of failure in MLB. I'd probably lean towards the guy people compare to Babe Ruth.
castillo, kill me now! Wish I had ohtani for the fun factor alone, but Castillo has been terrible.Just out of curiosity, which way did we end up going here? Castillo or Ohtani?
Since the Angels are gonna sit him the day before and the day after he pitches, I’d probably stick with the pitcher.Dickie Dunn said:Anyone else have Ohtani in a weekly league where you have to decide by Monday whether to use him at DH or P?
I'm kind of stuck with having to DH him this week after losing both Yelich and Suarez, but just wondering if anyone else is going to be going through this same debate every week.
I was faced with this exact dilemma, in the same round, and made the same choice. Ohtani went two picks later.castillo, kill me now! Wish I had ohtani for the fun factor alone, but Castillo has been terrible.
I think he's a better pitcher than hitter.need2know said:Stud. They have to get him in the lineup more. I understand the rest with him pitching but I think he's a better hitter then pitcher. And that's saying something.
WowFrancesa says the Yankees are lucky that they didn't get Ohtani. He's still undefeated!
Oh it's lasting, alright. In fact it's unbelievable at this point. That didn't last long.
I only have him in a daily, so I don't have this epic problem, but as far as I can remember he's had at least one start in every week until this one.As of this week, Ohtani, the pitcher, has been rendered useless in weekly lineup leagues. Not a chance in hell I put him in my lineup on Monday and pray that he pitches on Sunday.
That didn't last long.
Sounds more like reports jumped the gun. Apparently no on will know for sure if he needs surgery or not. If he needs just rest the Angels have hope they can still use him as a hitter this year. No one has a good idea what's going on until he's re-evaluated at the end of the monthUhh oh. Tommy John is calling?
Depends on the severity of the injury. If they can get away without Surgery then might as well keep him out there as a DH. However given where LAA is at in the standings struggling I think I'd just have him get the surgery now (or ASAP) then post pone it further. It's not like they are going to contend this year or even next year. Trout is probably gone in 2020 as well.why not just let him DH and then get TJ in the offseason if he's out til 2020 anyway
