Project Veritas - Rigging the Election videos (1 Viewer)

I understand the complaints from the left that Trump's comments about the election being rigged and videos like these creating a dangerous environment, post election, if HRC wins.

But ask yourself, how many of you on the Left  are going to be claiming the election was somehow influenced by the Russians or hackers should Trump win?

IF somehow Trump pulled this out I wouldn't blame hackers or the russians.  I would blame the buffoons in both parties that allowed it to happen.

Sorry auto-correct.  It's a dirty, rotten thing to do, and the people behind it are scumbags.
Explain to me how bird dogging is a dirty rotten thing?  It's a strategy in which prepared and poignant questions are asked to folks running for office in such a way as to solicit a specific answer.

Quick question...and I'm not trying to deflect here...but for those of you who are buying into these vids (along with PV and O'Keefe) how hard do you think it would be to create something very, very similar with the GOP side?
Very easy. This video doesn't shock me in the least. The whole ####### system is completely rotten.

See, here's the thing- you're not asking how many on the left are making those claims now.  The fairer apples-to-apples question would be "how many on the Left are currently doing something similar to what Trump is doing?  And I suspect you're not asking that because you know the answer is "nobody."

The big problem IMO with what Trump is doing on this voter fraud stuff is that he's not attacking a specific incident or behavior or alleged tamperer, because the election hasn't happened yet. Instead he's undermining the legitimacy of the entire process. It could easily result in voter intimidation and racial tension (he's already basically calling for it by asking his supporters to watch the polls in Philly, St. Louis and Chicago- two of those cities aren't even in swing states but see if you can figure out what they do have in common) and violent responses to the results if they don't go his way.  That is a wholly different animal than, say, alleging that Katherine Harris should not have halted the recount efforts in Florida in 2000.  Or, if there is evidence of tampering from Russians/hackers after November 8 2016, complaining about such tampering.

The GOP may not be engaging in shadow tactics this year as much ONLY because they don't actually want Trump elected. But if it was an 'establishment' candidate?  Oh absolutely.

I watched both videos.  The 2nd didn't have much in it, imo.  The first was really, really bad.

If Trump sent out goons to incite violence at Clinton rallies, I'm sure the media would go absolutely nuts.

There are two problems.

1. Society as a whole is a lot like Tim.  He admitted yesterday that "if it's not in the mainstream media, it didn't happen".  By and large, that's how the average person is.  But it's really a lot deeper than that.  This video has been discussed on CNN, Foxnews, etc.  But they aren't making a major deal about it.  They don't have the big flashing headlines BREAKING NEWS - DNC ACCUSED OF INCITING VIOLENCE.  They are bringing it up, but that's it.

We as a society are pretty dumb, actually.  We tend to get outraged at what the media tells us to get outraged about.  So while many laughed at Tim yesterday, in reality he's right.  If the media fails to get outraged or if the media doesn't treat it as a major story, 90% of people will tune in, shrug their shoulders and move on.

2. Inciting violence is really bad.  If it has always happened, it needs to stop.  If Clinton knew about it and was ok with it, she would be unfit to be president. (for the record, I think Trump's statements on video make him unfit to be a president).  There are certain things that just aren't ok.  Did Clinton know about it?  Doubtful.  There are likely a ton of buffers between this Scott Foval lackey and Clinton.  Plausible deniability.  But the video is enough to cause an investigation.
