I know I’m a homer, but I don’t get why everyone thinks the Cardinals will be so bad. Most are predicting them to have the worst record in the league.

Yes, they have a new QB and a new coach. But without DJ last year, and playing with their third string QB, they still went 8-8. They have a tough division, but they are healthy and that D will be legit this year. I don’t expect them to make the playoffs, but 8-8 seems pretty reachable again.

Falcons blew a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl.
Let's just say this time around will be different.  And why do I say that?  Because the Super Bowl is in their home stadium.  I know what everyone's going to say about no team ever even playing the Super Bowl in their home stadium.  But, this year I truly and strongly believe that the Falcons are going to make history by not only becoming the 1st team to play a Super Bowl in their home stadium, but also win a Super Bowl in their home stadium.  Calvin Ridley will be the difference.

I was looking up something on Wikipedia relating to teams playing a Super Bowl in its home stadium.  Now, throughout all of history, no team has ever played the Super Bowl in their own stadium.  BUT, there have been two occasions where a team has played a Super Bowl in its own market.  In Super Bowl XIV, the Los Angeles Rams lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-19 in the Rose Bowl; however, the Rams played their home games that year at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.  Then, 5 years later, the San Francisco 49ers beat the Miami Dolphins 38-16 in Super Bowl XIX.  The 49ers, that season, played their home games that year at Candlestick Park, while winning the Super Bowl at Stanford Stadium.  But, this is a different time and era now.  We almost got the chance to see the Minnesota Vikings play a Super Bowl in their home stadium last year.  I strongly believe that this year, the curse of one team playing the Super Bowl in its home stadium will not only be broken, but destroyed.

FALCONS 27, PATRIOTS 24
