Proposed trade to me (1 Viewer)

Waggle

Footballguy
Players offered

Johnny Damon

Daisuke Matsuzaka

Dontrelle Willis

For

Álex Rodríguez

I'm leaning towards yes. Before you ask, I don't remember who my pitchers are for this team and am unable to check, the website is blocked here at school. You know how Yahoo! fantasy baseball is so subversive.

I would tend to say no unless you are really hurting at starting pitching and getting starters is tough to do. I have always felt it is easier to find adequate starters during the season than it is to replace a superstar hitter.

Yeah not knowing what the rest of the makeup of your team is, I would probably say no. Are you in a head-to-head league? In a rotiss league, it may be a better deal since you'll be improving in a number of areas.

It's head to head we have a full league format. Without my roster in front of me, I can't answer intelligently.

Ok in a head-to-head league, I would probably rather have arod unless you're desperate for pitchers. As others have said, solid spot starting pitchers are much easier to find on a week-to-week basis but you can never replace the best hitter in the game. If you're going to deal arod, you can get much more than this.

I like it :excited:

You get a very good outfielder who should start most weeks and give you great runs, some pop and some steals....very solid #3 or #4 OF'er.

And you get two very good starting pitchers on good team who will be in your starting rotation nearly every week.

ARod's value will never be higher. Getting 3 high quality players in return for a superstar is a pretty good deal.

Obviously this trade is contigent on you needing better SP'ers. If DiceK and Willis will be your 4th and 5th best starters, it may not behoove you to make this deal.

I agree with this guy.I offered J Santana and Bonds for him in a h2H league and was turned down.

How many teams in the league, and how deep? Whats the best few pitchers on the wire?

With limited info, I don't see Dontrelle as having all that much value, and Dice-K is still largely unknown. Given the start ARod has gotten off to and his track record, I'd probably turn it down.

I would be much more inclined to take the Santana/Bonds deal than the other one. I actually think I'd rather have Santana/Bonds than Arod. Santana is a stud pitcher and Bonds is still a pretty good outfielder when he's healthy.
