Protein Powder (1 Viewer)

Ok, so long story short, the only thing I can tolerate in the morning is a fruit smoothie w Protein Powder.

Ive long been running with Wegman's brand Cold Pressed Whey Protein... I love it. dont have that strange taste to it... low carb/fat/sugar/calories...

Car was getting fixed and couldnt use the rental to go over the border to go grab more... so I bought a can of Six Star Whey Protein... Dont love it... has that really artificial/sweet taste to it (vanilla cream)

What do you guys use? What's it taste like?

Pls note... Only vanilla cuts it for me...

If you care, my recipe is always:

frozen strawberries

fresh, ripened banana

6-8 almonds

spoon of greek yogurt

water

protein powder

for my morning shake I usually do kale, frozen peach/berries half banana, almonds, flax, pumpkin seeds, spinach some cucumber and then some whew protein I have laying around

I will try that wegmans brand though they usually have good products

I wonder if WalMart will let me return this stuff... it's putrid to me, tho reviews ppl love the taste

Syntha6 vanilla creme or chocolate milkshake most used, but I have tried and liked all their flavors.

I use gold standard. Vanilla Ice Cream for the smoothies on the rare occasions I make those. On days when I just do protein shake, I mix the banana cream and the strawberry. It tastes fine to me, but I have to add flax meal to it since there is no fiber already in the protein. I usually add a tablespoon or so.

My buddy at work is swearing by the EAS protein, but I haven't tried it.

Syntha-6 chocolate with peanut butter and Ocean Oasis liquid yogurt is one of the best tasting things I've ever had period. Would take it over almost any dessert. Downside is that it isn't terribly healthy.

I've tried pretty much every protein powder there is. I think Syntrax Nectar is the best. It's a whey isolate that comes in several great flavors and mixes instantly.

I get it at Vitamin Shoppe or Amazon. GNC and most other major retailers don't sell it. I would rate Six Star whey protein as below average in both taste and quality.
