Court documents state Lane Davis started a fight with his parents July 14 at their home in the 4000 block of Wharf Street, accusing them of being “leftists” and “pedophiles.”  ...

Lane Davis told police he was angered after reading something on the internet about “leftist pedophiles,” which sparked an argument between the two men.

By the time police arrived, Charles Davis was dead, documents state.
He was a frequent poster to the Donald subreddit.

I've said it before... r/The_Donald and the Yahoo comments section are a collection of the worst people on earth

I thought this story seemed old. Killing your parents over differences in politics seems somewhat shortsighted when you don't even live in a swing state.

Agreed.  But the real value of posting the story is that it fleshes out with narrative force a widely known issue that until now had only been quantified in statistical analyses and academic literature.  Thus the necessity of "making it real" by putting names and faces to this troubling and much too common occurrence .  Indeed, only with the added power of narrative will we be able to stamp out this proliferation of politically progressive patricide.

You go me curious so I went the check out the r/The_Donald. Best I can tell, it got itself the boot for inciting violence.

But that's not mentioned on the subreddit's Wikipedia page (what a weird time we live in). I do see the subreddit has had itself quarantined and restricted on a number of occasions.

Anyway, wiki says that a lot of them went to thedonald.win

Oh, look, a thread about the 75 year old Buffalo dude being an Antifa agitator (not a joke).

The wiki explains T_D's demise.
