We've had people skype into a live draft. If thats not possible then the owner needs to confer with the proxy to get on the same page. No perfect way but at least be on the same page.

Someone has to be there and work the draft for the guy missing. No way you can work off of a list only. We have had someone in the league draft his team and the team for the guy that couldn't make it. Needless to say, the guy missing did not get a good team. We do call in's both with the guy in the league or someone filling in for him and making his bids. That seems to work just fine. Those remote usually bid early and often to fill out their squad and move on.
