Pryor. What am I missing here? (1 Viewer)

Seems like he is a hot pickup to start this week against the Chargers. I do not have him but could pick him up. My mind is made up in starting Hoyer but looking at Pryor's stats, I just don't see him being a huge scorer this week. No running game and since week one he hasn't rushed for a huge amount if yards. Plus, it's not like his receiver corp is awesome.

And yet, I've got several buddies claiming he's gonna blow up this week.

The Chargers have given up the most FF ppg to QBs this year. They've given up 1300 pass yards, 8 pass TDs, 106 rush yards, and 2 rush TDs. Jake Locker got 300 pass yards and 68 rush yards against them, with 2 TDs (1 pass, 1 rush). I think that's a good comparison. Locker didn't have much more (if any more) talent around him on offense than Pryor does.Pryor hasn't done bad as a passer, he's completing 65% of his passes, and averaging 7.7 YPA.

He's been good as a rusher. Even if you factor out his 100 yard game from week 1, he's averaging 45 rushing yards/game. He hasn't gotten the ball in the endzone yet, not enough. If he starts to find paydirt, he's going to be a valuable FF QB.
