Haven't played in years, but how does one #### up the 16th version of a football game?

These games are always fun for a few weeks, but then I get sick of playing the computer over and over. Forget going online to play against randoms. Seems like everybody is an expert and I just get demolished. No fun in that.

Same here as far as online. I suck. It's the reason I haven't bought a madden in 5 years now, '12 is my last one. EA don't give a s### about its franchise mode or players anymore. If they can't cash grab you in Ultimate Team, you're worthless to them. All their improvement efforts on the game go to Ultimate Team. So the game doesn't serve a purpose for me anymore.

Saw this in the Video Games post and already ordered.  First copy I've purchased in years.

Reviews have been pretty strong among people that buy it every year so I'm optimistic.  

I also didn't think it would hit this price before the holiday sales

FYI, big improvements/changes were made to franchise mode this year.  May want to do some research on that before you decide.

Yeah, ultimate team has eliminated most of the development of other modes for ea games. I would love to get fifa this year, but Im strictly a franchise mode player and they just don't care about it. Same weak player development system and game breaking bugs for years. 

If they can't milk it for micro transactions it doesn't matter to them

33rd edition, if you want to get technical. I remember getting the 1988 version for my C-64, and completely wearing out Madden 93 on my SNES in college. My roommate and I would play Chicago 85 vs Pittsburgh 75 every night, and then Dallas 93 vs Pittsburgh 93 after that. I would destroy him everytime with Walter Payton and then Emmitt Smith

You can in 16, so I imagine they kept that feature for 17 (although I have not looked at any reviews yet).

Arrived Saturday. Only had an hour or two for it between watching football. Been long enough I can't remember most of the controls, having to do the tutorials.
