PSA - Sharknado 4 starting in minutes (1 Viewer)

loved the TCM shtick, with a heavily inked Stretch (from TCM II)  wielding her chainsaw

Gottfried as 'storm chaser' d-bag  :lmao:

Busey seemed marionette-ish, but bless that sob for keep on keepin' on

and hozabout Carmen Lopez (Masiela Lusha) spilling out all night? chick needs moar roles.

Roker, Guttenberg, Tiegs, Reid, Hasslehoff ... 'nufced.

oh, and Ryan Newman =  goddess.

'twas a dazzling display of playing it for 'so bad it's good' shtick -  a midsummer masterpiece  :D

The first one was fun and even the second one was fun and entertaining.  But I've had enough.  It jumped the shark, for me, somewhere near the first few minutes of Sharknado 3.  Yeah, it's supposed to be dumb... enjoy it for what it is, etc..  but it seems dumb movies are better when they don't know they are supposed to be dumb or don't try to be dumb (See:  SyFy original, Yeti).

I guess it's like a lot of trendy things.  When everyone jumps on the bandwagon and says how great it is, it's time to move on.  I know... I know... screw me.

I did like, though, the scene in part 3 where the guy from Malcolm in the Middle kept getting limbs bit off when trying to reach the destruct button on his camper.  After 2 legs and 1 arm, I thought he was going to say "O come on!" or something like that.

The best scene in part 4, imo, is when Hasselhoff said "piece of cake" then immediately got eaten, sort of like Samuel L. Jackson did in Deep Blue Sea.  But then they ruin it by having him survive.

meh, not like anyone shelled coin to sit in a theater for it ... just a midsummer doldrums slab of cheeeez that worked perfectly for it's niche - was either that or another ####### staged 'Bar Rescue' ... no brainer choice

That's true.  As long as there are fans/ratings, they'll keep making them.  Just for me, I'm out.

Heck yeah!  I guess Trump killed the Revenge of the 5th title.
maybe Busey is back as Trump?

or perhaps Ariana Grande in the gender/generational switcheroo role of a lifetime (she has the Oompa-Loompa/Cheeto shtick on lockdown already)?

I know this movie franchise rarely gets recognized by The Academy, but the casting director might deserve an Emmy
seeing as how this is now strictly a SyFy vehicle - but point very well taken.

Appreciate bumping the S4 thread, but, can we talk about S5 deserving its own thread or updating this title? Really want to see this franchise get its proper due.

concur, and would've done so (new thread) had this one not been so sparsely populated   dunno if enough of the folk out there give one flyin' fiddler's #### ... but perhaps we can be agents of real change - all of us who recognize this series for it's ceaseless efforts to champion the CHEEZ - banding together, and peppering with updates that'll make the Trump thread(s) bump(s) seem glacial in comparison.

that, and it's more opportunity to ogle Carmen Lopez

Wonder if they do a remembrance to John Heard who recently passed away.

He played George the regular at the bar who wouldn't leave his favorite bar stool in the 1st one

Holy cow, that cast for this one is amazing in so many ways.
short list:

Olivia Newton-John as Orion
Charo as Queen of England
Chris Kattan as British Prime Minister
Fabio as The Pope
Al Roker
Margaret Cho
Kathie Lee Gifford
Bret Michaels
Downtown Julie Brown
Samantha Fox
Gilbert Gottfried
Clay Aiken
