A few years ago, yeah. Or 2017. I heard it. It was good.Didn't they (maybe just Lind) recently put out a new album that was well received?

I am pretty sure I heard it and liked it a bit. Back when I was assembling these fairly large annual best of the year playlists on Spotify, I am positive now that I included The Sonics. The Monkees had a couple sweet tunes too.A few years ago, yeah. Or 2017. I heard it. It was good.
I mentioned it in one of the "Best Album Of 201[ ]" lists when it came out. You should participate in those if you have the time. they put out a solid record with new material 3 or 4 years back. We saw them tour behind it and it was an incredible show. The next time they passed through town, the old guitar and keyboard players had been replaced by younger guns--the guy on keys had some very impressive neck tattoos. Still a great show in a smaller venue. We missed them when they played here a couple of months ago.Didn't they (maybe just Lind) recently put out a new album that was well received?
Yeah, I always post albums for the end of the year but during the year lately I am just not keeping up on new music chronologically. I catch something here and there. Then, I usually cram stuff in at the end of the year when I have a bunch of time off work in December/January.I mentioned it in one of the "Best Album Of 201[ ]" lists when it came out. Great. And I just used No Use For A Name last night as a band I wasn't into. But I did like them, and love this song by the Misfits.Figure I'll grab my cover. Probably my favorite Misfit's song covered by one of my favorite bands when I was first getting into punk music. I've seen No Use live a bunch of times, and they always covered a Misfits song. I've never seen the Misfits live, but their songs make for a fun pit. My favorite show of theirs was in my favorite venue of all time The Living Room in Goleta, CA outside Santa Barbara. Small venue that maybe fit 200 people max and had dingy sofas lining the walls.
RIP Tony Sly

Yea I noticed that, all good (different strokes and all).Great. And I just used No Use For A Name last night as a band I wasn't into. But I did like them, and love this song by the Misfits.
Their first three albums were all solid IMHO, but then they got a lot softer. That's Guy Picciotto singing. I can hear the voice. He was also in a band I won't spotlight that was seminal but that I never really listened to.13.x One Last Wish - My Better Half
Part of the shifting 80's DC scene, couple of these guys ended up in Fugazi, I just know this track destroys
47 rounds, I heard. This is 15 rounds, right? I've picked 12, I know what my last one will be... so I got 2 more picks to make from my list of... lots.
Spoiler Alert: Death Rosenstock is in the queue!
I think Jzilla was on to something with his own playlist. If most everyone is on Spotify, it's simple for drafters to maintain their own local list and drag them over to the master list. Keeping a personal long list might also keeping from forgetting that perfect song I thought about a couple of days ago. Maybe next draft.Hey, I'm thinking of updating the sheet but don't know if it's local or global. Don't want to put in all that sorting for nothin'
Any help here?
Yeah, I've begun to tidy it just for format's sake. May just do it to have a centralized place to look and search. I don't think many of us are looking at it, nor need to. It's a very specific draft with very specific stuff.I think Jzilla was on to something with his own playlist. Thread search works well enough after the update to make the draft list irrelevant. To be honest, I haven't looked at it. I've either listened to the list or have been in the thread.
I think he's out of commission until after Black Friday, bud. He said he was swamped and forgot he was in that position. But who knows? Maybe he will be able to.
No worries. Life comes first.I think he's out of commission until after Black Friday, bud. He said he was swamped and forgot he was in that position. But who knows? Maybe he will be able to.
Yep. I was just letting you know because I'm always in this thread, read it all, and there may be things people miss.No worries. Life comes first.
There's a links tab on the Drive file... add it there.
Thanks. I’ve added it to the file. There's a links tab on the Drive file... add it there.
Dude. I was going to draft this song late. Figured it’d be controversial with many in here. Here's a catchy little earworm that combines elements of our #1 pick and elements of our most represented musician IMO (so far) in this draft. And they got to sell some shampoo with it so...
13.2 Transplants - Diamonds and Guns

WhyDude. I was going to draft this song late. Figured it’d be controversial with many in here.
I personally think the pick is fine; I don't think anybody would have given you #### about it. I like the Transplants, love Tim, love the whole thing, still think that Garnier Fructis commercial is hard to beat. Wooh Woooh.Because they blur the line between punk and hip hop
Saw these guys on a side stage at some festival years ago and dug them. Bought their record.I've steered clear of Pop-Punk so far because its 90s-00s heyday is outside of my comfort zone. But I heard this song on a videogame soundtrack and dug its anthemic chorus as I pretend skateboarded. Go ahead, flame me.
13. The Explosion - Here I Am
I was about to make a pick, but that last song was so bad i really didn’t want to follow it.But seriously, folks, are we drafting?
Really?I was about to make a pick, but that last song was so bad i really didn’t want to follow it.
See?Really?
I love that song, but I'm easy like Thanksgiving morning.
I feel like I heard it before in an advertisement or something. I didn’t like it much then either. It really reminds me of a much older song that i can’t quite place.Really?

I'll make it up to you with something old and esoteric next pick.trogg78 said:I was about to make a pick, but that last song was so bad i really didn’t want to follow it.
I was going to make a different pick, but it can Waite until next round. Since you mention “old and esoteric” I’ll go ahead and make my “proto-punk” pick.I'll make it up to you with something old and esoteric next pick.
Nice, I might just draft them againSo these guys might be the exact opposite of The Offspring. I bet you would have a difficult time finding someone to say these guys put on a bad show. Might be the second most fun band I have ever seen. I saw these guys at Tramps and just left with a smile on my face. Have their first album on BYO first pressing. Might not be on a lot of peoples lists of greatest bands, but I doubt anyone would ever say they hate the Souls. In fact, this was the band it has been most difficult to pick a song from, because they have so many good ones.
15.X, The Bouncing Souls, True Believer, Tramps
