No, I have never posted a Tweet and represented it as the truth.

With the Tweets I am sometimes posting a point of view or opinion from someone, which you can either accept or not accept as being a legitimate take on things.
Why do you feel the need to do this? Your opinion isn't good enough? Do you think anyone gives a flying #### what Joe Smith from Twitter thinks?

I haven't read any of this thread in months, but I stand up for squistion. He is a great guy, and he was practically the only one who stood with me defending Hillary Clinton last year, a battle I'm proud to have fought.

squistion is one of the very good posters in this forum.
Pathetic.

I do. I enjoy reading tweets from interesting people. squistion never posts tweets from unknowns, he posts tweets from experts, celebrities, politicians. I find them informative and interesting.

In all fairness, I have done that occasionally, but it was because they said something I found humorous or insightful and I wanted to give proper attribution rather than plagiarize it.

OK. I wasn't aware of it. If it's humorous or insightful I don't mind that either.

A good one from earlier in the week, I believe it was the guy we found out strangled his wife in front of their 6 year old child... I found him very humorous and insightful, all while I punched my wife in the face.

Isn't squistion a Tim alias? I thought that was confirmed by multiple mods in the test forum
Sorry no.

I don't like everything squistion does- I think he pays too much attention to his critics (a lesson I've learned over the years), and I don't think he should report anyone, ever. I don't care what the mods say about it, I think it's bad form. I may have reported 2 people here during my entire time in this forum, that was several years ago and it was stupid of me.

But overall I really like squistion and I think he's a worthwhile contributor to this forum.

6 straight pages of Squistion abuse, I love this thread.

SaintsinDome tried to talk QB free agents, but was derailed by Squishy himself - he thought discussing the appearance of said free agents was more important than their abilities :lmao:

It was a tongue-in-cheek post.

I hope everything is better on the home front for you.

jokers like Hell Toupee who constantly misrepresents themselves and others.
Take a long look in the mirror you sanctimonious ####### and assess your life for ####s & giggles. You're nothing more than a pissclam to me timmy. Now go spam the boards with your schtick . ########

For what it's worth, squistion doesn't report posts nearly as often as some of his most vocal critics do.

Not that reporting things (appropriately) is bad...

A bit of an overreaction - the way he is acting one might think you asked him a hypothetical question.
Well let me apologize to you for blowing your thread up. Blowhard did get me mad but I was channeling anger with a subordinate here in the office to the message board.

Once again sorry to derailing your thread .

Actually it is not my thread and probably should be :IBTL:  IMO unless the thread title is changed back to the subject matter of the OP which was a discussion of Colin Kaepernick which had continued for 72 pages until today.

The FFA is not usually like those other forums where people can start threads just to attack or ridicule individual posters they disagree with or have a personal dislike of. And in the past, such threads have generally been nuked or deleted.

I sense a report and complain coming, ruh roh!!

@SaintsInDome2006 actually tried to engage in a real conversation with you, at which point you went on some odd rant about the appearances of Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andrew Luck, Jimmy Clausen, Brady Quinn, & Colt McCoy. He then wisely disengaged.

You also accused me of being racist for not liking Colin Kaepernick.

I guess a Raider fan that hates Jamarcus Russell is also a racist. I honestly envision you as a 60 year old man still living in his parent's basement.

Maybe Luck can get away with whatever he wants bc he has the potential on and off the field to be one of the best QB's in the NFL - he has also never made any headlines for getting in trouble.

But sure, compare him and Kaep. One guy any GM would give up their next four 1st round picks for, the other doesn't command a 6th rounder.

The amount of nonsense that you type is astounding. Is there ever a thread you partake in where you don't wind up the butt of all jokes? It isn't a coincidence, FYI.

The real conversation - if you want to call it that, had to do with the "bohemian" appearance of Kaepernick - and specifically of it being a detriment to his getting a future QB starting gig, because the QB is the "the face of the franchise".

I pointed out that Ryan Fitzpatrick and Andrew Luck had arguably even a worse look with both being parodied with photo shopped pictures of them being civil war generals. Luck being a elite QB it doesn't really matter what he looks like, while Fitzpatrick (not much a better QB than Kaep IMO) had a starting gig in Houston followed by two years with the Jets despite his Grizzily Adams appearance. And if QB appearance was really that crucial then probably the clean shaven and more establishment looking types such as Clausen, Quinn and McCoy should have gotten a shot over Fitzpatrick or others who are less corporate looking.

I didn't accuse you of being a racist - I raised the issue given your criticism of his "fro" (which may or may not have been relevant) and your failure to call out any of the racist remarks that were leveled against Kaep earlier in this thread. I don't know where you are coming from, if you say your issues with Kaep have nothing to do with his race, I will accept that and not raise that point again.

And I never suggested that all 49ers fans who dislike Kaep do so because of racist motives, as he admittedly has not played well in recent years - so the Russel/Raiders fan analogy seems a bit of a Straw Man.

Please point me to this
Dude, I am not digging through 76 pages to find a reference to his hair and since I don't know the exact terminology that was used, I can't do a word search to find it. Plus there is always the possibility the OP was deleted. Hell Toupee did that after I mentioned he called Walmart shoppers rabble - claimed he never said that and demanded I show him the OP but it had been deleted by him so I couldn't  - however Scooter found it in a Google cache of the thread.

If you say that you made no mention of his appearance, fine, not worth my time to prove you wrong.

Maybe you can't find it bc I never uttered a single word about his appearance in 76 pages? It might not be worth your time because you can't?

You insinuated I was a racist based off of something that I never said (or even hinted at), is that where we net out? If it is, does that make you a gigantic dolt?

I raised the issue given your criticism of his "fro"
That is your quote in case you don't remember... It happened about 15 minutes ago.

1) Re-read this paragraph.

2) Imagine what squistion of 15 years ago would say after trying to make sense of this.

3) Punch self in face.

You never seem to have a problem finding old quotes here. You do it all the time.

I still dont trust the veracity of that post. It looked shopped to me . Awful convenient that the post can't be found but suddenly appears on what looked like a shopped page. It did look shopped

There is something going on in your hate fest about Kaep that, as others have pointed out, goes way beyond a hard core fan disliking the starting QB. I am surprised you have not gone so far as to burn him in effigy in front of the Levi's Stadium (perhaps Santa Clara fire laws prohibit it).

Again I don't have the time or energy to track down a post that may have been deleted. I don't think I directly insinuated you are a racist, just raised the issue as a possibility since it seemed as good an answer as any.

You say racism has absolutely nothing to do with your dislike of Kaepernick. Fine, I will accept that and will not mention it again.

Generally, most football journalists or writers don't aspire to be hired by an NFL team - that is not the career path they want to follow. Instead they want to keep moving up the ladder in football sports journalism. Some have done it, but generally most football writers don't aspire to go in that direction.

And you could make the same argument about Matt Waldman - if he is so great at evaluating rookies, why hasn't an NFL team hired him? Why he still just hawking his Rookie Scouting Portfolio? :hophead:
You may be right.  I was going off of what I've seen recently in other sports.  Several Fangraphs writers have moved on to jobs with MLB front offices.  Seth Partnow, one of the founders of Nylon Calculus, took a job with the Milwaukee Bucks this year.  I don't know how it works with football, but I would think the future earnings potential and general emotional fulfillment of having your ideas make a difference in a real NFL team would be greater than they would if you just continued to write and work independently.

THAT SAID, I do generally regard Fahey's work as good.  Indeed, some of the best publicly available talent evaluation and film study.  I think I was a bit harsh in my initial post about him, and I did cherrypick one instance where he turned out to be wrong (Cousins).  What bugs me is he has yet to change his opinion on Cousins, which makes me think the guy is stubborn enough to continue to tout Kaepernick as a good QB against all reason as well.  And look, maybe he is a talented QB with the potential to still succeed in the NFL - but I don't think I'd take Fahey's word as gospel about that just because of what he writes on his blog.

How about we make it worth your time? We can make a wager on it.

Do you want 7-1 odds?  Just kidding. :hophead:

Well, um, making some sort of wager would be great for you but not for me if it turns out the post had been deleted and no one had ever quoted it - as if I went through all 76 pages, post by post, I wouldn't be able to find something that is no longer there (and I am not categorically stating that it was deleted, just that the possibility of that makes a bet pointless).
