QB Brock Purdy, SF (3 Viewers)

Coach Yac
John Lynch on his expectations for Brock Purdy after last week’s game against the Panthers:

“I expect him to bounce back. I think back to, I think it was 2023 against Baltimore on a Monday night, had a rough game with four interceptions. I think the following week we went to Washington and he played a really aggressive, efficient game where he was clean with the ball.

So we’ve seen Brock in a very similar situation. I think the bigger challenge for Brock is not what happened last week. It’s who he’s facing this week.

This is a really good defense in Cleveland. I think we faced some really good fronts Houston, but I think Cleveland probably takes it a notch further because the back end is so good. Houston, you know, they each present challenges, but then the elements as well.

So could be some challenges that are bigger than what happened last week because Brock has proven to be able to bounce back fairly well.”

Mac Jones did a fine job for the 49ers, but they ran into trouble against a top-tier Houston defensive front.

At the time, I said the 49ers needed Brock Purdy back for matchups like that.

Today, everyone can see why I said that. He's a top-shelf QB with game-changing mobility

Brock Purdy made a lot of people look laughably wrong today but the funniest part is that it’s about the 36th time he’s done that.

This cycle has produced peak entertainment and promises to continue doing so. NFL’s most efficient QB since entering the league. Facts over feelings
