QB Charlie Frye (1 Viewer)

I was watching NFL replay on the NFL network last night and really came away impressed by QB Charlie Frye. He seems to be a leader and seems to have a solid skill set (including scrabbling) and has an air about him that I think this guy could really end up being very good. The Browns offense is going to greatly improve before the end of the year. The Saints defensive line is very good also and the offensive line of the browns had problems controlling the LOS.

Pretty much.Mobility is important for some QBs, but what allows that much of the time is pocket presense. He definitely has shown he can sense the rush getting to him. Brooks is said to have good mobility, but I saw him crumble all night long for staying in the pocket and holding the ball too long.

Frye has show great pocket awareness for a guy that has 6 NFL games to his credit. He moves well and can buy time for the WRs to get open or get the first down himself.

What I did see in game one is that he's looks a bit indecisive with his reads. I'm not sure if the WRs couldn't get separation from the dbs or if Frye was holding the ball to long but he looked like he hesitated more than a few times instead of taking his 3 steps and unloading.

On the bright side, he didn't make many bad plays by forcing the ball and getting picked. The late pick he had was all on Edwards. Ball hit him in the chest and went right to the DB.

I'm hoping that the oline improves week to week and becomes a solid unit by week 4 or 5. The starters only practiced together for a week along with the starting center trying to learn the entire play book in that time also. If they can come together the Browns will score some points.

I don`t think Frye is going to win many NFL games but he may be a decent FF QB option.

Broken plays that lead to long passes, scambling for rushing yards and a TD here and there.

i agree, but that first interception was painful.
