-Fisher really respects his work ethic and attitude. He's the long term answer in Tennessee.

R1/10 Leinart, Matt

-Probably should have been a Pro Bowler in 2009.

R1/11 Cutler, Jay

-Lacks the physical tools to be elite. Very cool and collected however.

R2/49 Clemens, Kellen

- Veteran leader. Has been instrumental in the development of Sanchez.

R2/64 Jackson, Tarvaris

-Fans in Minny are giddy about his potential. So much so that many want to see HOF QB Favre sent to the bench to make room.

R3/81 Whitehurst, Charlie

-Long flowing hair = Chick magnet.

R3/85 Croyle, Brodie

-One of the best backups in the league, but Cassel has been too good for him to get onto the field.

R5/148 Martin, Ingle

-It's actually Ingle Martin IV

R5/164 Jacobs, Omar

-Stuck behind two of the best QBs in the league (Croyle and Cassel).

R6/194 Gradkowski, Bruce

-He's bald.

R7/223 Shockley, D.J.

-Haven't heard too much about this guy. I'm guessing he's elite though.

I'm seeing a great draft class. I'm not certain about Shockley however.

I think it's interesting how Clemens is on the way out while guys like Tavaris and Whitehurst are sorta seen as being on the way in.

The '99 draft kinda came to mind though it was better than '06 obviously.

1.1 Tim Couch

1.2 Donovan McNabb

1.3 Akili Smith

1.11 Daunte Culpepper

1.12 Cade McNown

2.50 Shawn King

3.77 Brock Huard

4.101 Joe Germaine

4.131 Aaron Brooks

5.151 Kevin Daft

7.227 Michael Bishop

7.239 Chris Greisen

7.245 Scott Covington

It's high time for a Fan of sports_fan alias.

Gradkowski and Cutler are the only serviceable QBs to this point. You can't realy on VY. Leinart got a raw deal but if he was knocking it out of the park, then he'd be the starter right now. Really bad QB class.

Remember when these guys were compared to the vaulted 83' QB class? The question isn't what happened, but who was the worst 1st round pick? Akili Smith or Cade McKnown? Tim Couch at least had a mediocre year when he was considered "promising."

The Smith and McNown picks have an interesting link actually: Ricky Williams. The Bengals were offered the same deal that the Saints gave to the Redskins (their entrie draft) to move up and draft Ricky. Mike Brown declined

After making the deal, the Redskins traded the pick 1.12 to the Bears to draft McNown.

Akili was the worst pick, even though the Bengals were left with the "leftover" of the top 3 QBs and truth be told more than a few experts had Akili graded out that high. See here: Linky to Cnn/SI '99 draft.

The 7.45 rating in the CNN/SI grading system translates to "A 7.00 - 8.00 Franchise Type - Pro Bowl Player" Couch was graded 7.9 :excited:
