QB for Playoff Run (1 Viewer)

Hey guys. I need some help getting a QB for the playoff run. I know this list sucks, but these are the only guys I can get. This is in a dynasty league and since I am leading in points and wins, the other owners are not trading with me.

Here is the list and thanks for your help in advance:

Flacco - @Pit, @SD, Pit, @Was, Den, NYG

Palmer - NO, @Cin, Clev, Den, KC, @Car

Locker - Bye, @Jac, Hou, @Indy, NYJ, @GB, Jac

Which one has the best chance to be the Shark Move? Also, any of the guys that are starting now (Kapernick, Foles, Campbell, Leftwich) are worth getting until the starter comes back?

This is a topic of great interest to me, too. Unfortunately, you didn't present it with enough finesse so someone will notice it and cry like a newborn to a moderator and the thread will get moved to the other forum where nobody will see it.

Of your choices, I would go with Palmer. I like Locker but the shoulder could pop out at any time, no?

Palmer's putting up some really good fantasy games and I think that will probably continue. I'd go with him personally.

This could actually be a good topic, although it is slightly a "Who do I pick up off of the WW?" question that typically goes into the ACF, not here. BUT, I think the topic should actually be framed around the fact that many FF owners are in trouble with Vick, Big Ben, Cutler, and Alex Smith in one week of action. Maybe take the angle of what QB's are available % wise on ESPN, Yahoo, MFL, CBS, etc. and get the discussion going around who should be targeted based upon the high availability stats and potential down the stretch.

Not one of your options - and no longer on any WWs - but Josh Freeman has a nice playoff schedule. If you don't own him, I can't imagine his trade has gone up that much if the owner has an elite QB and is weak elsewhere.

The NFL Trade Deadline has passed, and I don't think any of these guys are going to get cut and end up available on waivers. Didn't your General Manager sign a backup QB for your team? Or is your head coach saying he's not ready to be the starter yet?

The list aint bad. if you have to you can play matchups with all 3, but I expect at least one of them will get picked up as the playoffs approach and teams want a reliable second QB.

you are correct in that the time to pick one up is now.

There are a lot of things to consider with the various QBs

1) quality of team- A good team gives their QB's a short field more often than not and gets the ball back into the hands of your QB if the drive stalls:

Advantage Flacco.

A poor team wont give you the same advantage, but if the team that is poor is poor because the defense isnt getting it done, you can end up with some really high scoring games with fantasy points for all.

Advantage Palmer.

2) matchups:

Advantage Palmer I would suggest this is a very good advantage too.

consistency: Advantage Flacco

upside advantage Palmer and Locker

overall, I recommend Palmer. but if your team really revolves around your RB's more so than your QB's Flacco is not a bad choice. He wont lose games for you, but also wont win games by himself. he's solid and consistent. Palmer is somewhat consistent but has higher upside and if you are playing teams you need a break to beat, those 10 extra points Palmer always gets during garbage time when they fall behind sure come in handy.

Not speaking much on Locker. he's really a guy you pick up if you are allowed to keep more than 5 or 6 players for next year. That is where his value lies. he has a few good matchups, but being a young starter, I would expect his play will be up and down.
