QB Jameis Winston, NO (4 Viewers)

Jameis Winston completed 10-of-16 passes for 101 yards in the Saints’ 18-17, Week 3 loss to the Packers.

Winston entered the game with a 17-0 lead in the third quarter after Derek Carr exited with a shoulder injury. He completed 62.5 percent of his passes in the day, with several nice throws to Chris Olave and Michael Thomas, but the Saints were still forced to punt on six consecutive drives after Winston entered the game. He would eventually put his team in position for a game-winning field goal, only to see the 46-yard attempt missed by Blake Grupe. If Carr is unable to go in Week 4, Winston would be in line for a revenge game start against the Buccaneers. He’d be hard to trust as anything more than a boom-or-bust QB2.

Word is Carr's injury isn't season-ending but he will "miss some time". Time for the Jameis Winston Experience.

Such a bummer they are committed to Carr bc of the contract. Jameis is playing for peanuts and would be a great late season add for Burrow owners if he was on the field.

The Boston Globe’s Ben Volin reports the Browns are interested in Jameis Winston as a backup.
The Browns turned to gunslinger Joe Flacco after Deshaun Watson went down last year and it saved their season. It would be fitting for them to make a similar move in signing Winston to back up Deshaun Watson. Given Watson’s injury issues and poor play in Cleveland, the Browns may feel forced to get a premier backup instead of skimping on the position. Though he remains a volatile passer on a week-to-week basis, there’s no doubt that Winston is one of the better understudies money can buy.
