QB Roethlisberger Should Start

Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - [Full Article]

Barring some unforeseen circumstance or a change in his medical condition, QB Ben Roethlisberger will start tomorrow against the Raiders. Roethlisberger went through a full practice for the second day in a row and has not had any problems passing all the tests necessary to receive medical clearance to play. His condition will be monitored right up to game time to make sure there are no post-concussion symptoms such as headaches, nausea, dizziness or blurred vision.

With the 4:15 game, it would be nice to know early.

He practiced most of the week so that is a positive sign.

I wouldn't start him this week if I were you. I could see the Steelers getting an early lead and then either 1) turning it into the FWP/Najeh show or 2) sitting Ben in favor of Batch in the second half.

I don't think they'll sit Ben. They could turn to running a lot though, if they have a nice lead.

Ben - 246/2/1

I just don't have many other options. Both those things are a concern.

Notable Steelers inactive for Week 8 at Oakland include: WR Willie Reid, RB Duce Staley, S Mike Logan, LB James Harrison, DT Casey Hampton and QB Brian St. Pierre (3rd QB).

With the 3rd QB inactive, makes it seem Ben should see a start.
