This year there is a very realistic chance that 18 QB's will throw for at least 20 TD passes on the season and a chance of even 19 or perhaps 20 getting there.

There is already 11 QB's at the 20 TD mark this season.....

I searched back over the last 10 years and here is what I came up with...

2008- 11 did

2007-13 did

2006-10 did

2005-11 did

2004-14 did

2003-11 did

2002-12 did

2001-9 did

2000-11 did

1999-9 did

I think there could be a record set this year. I am not a stat junkie at all so perhaps someone can help me out with this.

I don't know about a record (although if I had to guess I'd say it would blow the previous record away), but something similar to what you noted was posted on about a month ago.

Well, let's see how that "18" numbers plays out, because the last 2 games of the season can be:1. very competetive defensively with teams trying to make the playoffs2. QB's getting benched for younger players to see what they can do3. Bad weather limiting TD's &/or passing.

There were 10 QBs with 20+ TDs at this stage each of the past two seasons.
