QB Taysom Hill, NO (1 Viewer)

i can’t see him taking anyone by surprise after last week.

That doesn’t mean he won’t have decent FF stats, but color me skeptical he has another 40+ game.

Naturally I faced him in my only TE-P league last week.

Taysom Hill completed 2-of-4 passes for 16 yards in New Orleans' loss to Cincinnati, adding five carries for 39 yards.

Hill was a frequent part of the plan in the first half, finishing it with all of his rushing yards and seven of his 16 passing yards. He was blasted by Eli Apple right before halftime and had just four more dips. If the Saints are serious about mixing him in as often as they did in this game, we must acknowledge that Hill will remain fantasy-relevant, especially in leagues where he's TE-eligible. He's worth considering for a start at the very least on Thursday night against the Cardinals, and could definitely be a part of the showdown slate plan.

In a world where you own Kamara and have NO tight ends, this guy is the absolute worst person in the universe.

How about a world where you own both Kamara and Taysom?
Stop talking about my dynasty team (which for added Saints fun also has Chris Olave)
Also have Olave and Taysom. I'm all for the hate I'll get if he plays QB from the TE spot this Thurs.
Same boat. Oh man. That would be amazing.

Hill could be a monster on Thursday night. Short week won't affect him as much as the already-sorry Cardinals D. He might run 'em ragged. Only thing the Cards have going for them is that it's a home game, IMHO.

Yea it's a weird spot. I wonder how much of a bump they get fr DHop being back.

So glad I already faced him.

Actually no, I'm not happy about that at all since he scored 44+ and cost me a W.
:wall:

Starting him as well with the same idea. I can take 4 points from any TE on any given week. But very few can give me 30+ that are not Andrews or Kelce.

Exactly. I waited one week too long, but he's in over Waller for the foreseeable future.

I wanna start him so badly tonight over Gerald Everett but am having trouble pulling the trigger. It'll make me more interested in the game tonight but it looks like Keenan may sit again and SEA is putrid v.s. TE's....but so is ARI...but Taysom isn't a TE! :clyde:

I would follow Parham more closely than Allen, as far as having a negative impact on Everett. Everett seems to have a very low ceiling at the moment, and his floor will disappear if both Parham and Allen play.

Ed Werder reporting that Dalton is starting and Winston...is the #3 QB.

Well, that's interesting.

And Dalton has a back issue. Off the injury report but I bet he's not 100%.

Taysom Hill rushed three times for nine yards in the Saints' Week 7 loss to the Cardinals, adding a three-yard touchdown reception.

The slashing Hill also completed 2-of-2 passes for 48 yards. Hill's second quarter score was his lone target as a pass catcher. It came on a goal line screen. Fantasy managers gambling with Hill in their tight end spot would like to see more overall touches, but he is finding a way to produce more weeks than not. He will remain a necessity in the top 10 for Week 8 against the Raiders.

He had a pass to Olave last night that was on the money in stride that Olave took to the 7. It would have been such chaos if Olave scored and Taysom got a 40+ yard TD pass.

When will the Saints realize they need to use him (and Kamara) more if they want to win? Was SMDH seeing both of them out during key final moments last night when they were trying to mount the failed comeback.
This.
I don’t have snap counts or proof. Just eyeball test.

There’s a whole lot of Ingram on the field when it feels like critical downs and drives. Red zone looks. Come back drives. End of quarter drives.

Ingram is fine and runs okay as a breather, and I’m fine with them getting him in there. He just always seems to be in on the drives where in my head I’m saying “okay, here’s where they should use their greatest weapons”.

Ingram is a three-yard-dust-cloud plodder at this point in his career. He was grossly outplayed by an off-the-couch Murray just a couple weeks ago. Ingram should never see the field in high-leverage situations, yet somehow is there. Often, if not constantly.

Taysom Hill rushed 10 times for 61 yards in the Saints' Week 8 win over the Raiders.

Hill also caught 1-of-2 targets for 11 yards and completed his only pass for two yards. The 10 carries were partly a product of game script, but Hill has at least three carries in every game this season and caught a touchdown pass last week. He will continue to be an option in leagues where he is TE-eligible.
