QB Taysom Hill, NO (2 Viewers)

Jack Miller @JackMiller02

Line movement for Saints QBs: Andy Dalton opened at 153.5 passing yards on DraftKings and Caesars. Now 133.5. Taysom Hill opened 30.5 rushing yards. Now 47.5.

I got him at 33.5 a couple days ago! Heck I think I saw he was 45.5 this morning just a couple hours ago. This weather is built for a heavy dose of him in there. Throw in the Cleveland run D weakness and he should be a no brainer for a ton of touches.

He's a fun play today. Literally just about anything is in play. Bulldozes for 150 yards and three scores? Sure. Rushes 30 times for 35 yards and a fumble? Plausible. The Saints barely put him on the field at all beause there is literally no pattern at all to how they use him and they sometimes seem to forget he exists? Absolutely.

Door number three it is!

Gotta be careful mixing up "what you wish will happen" with "what is likely to happen"
Every tweet on my feed:

Hmmm, we have not seen much of Taysom Hill this half, which was expected after some randos on the internet said he would get a lot of work

Do I dare start him in my championship game? I hit pay dirt last week. Been riding him most of the year through ups and downs.

Not in the champ game but the 3rd place game has money on the line. Benched him for Kmet. Taysom was a disappointment this year and largely not due to him.

NewOrleans.football's Nick Underhill reports Taysom Hill "worked out everywhere" during Saints mandatory minicamp.

Hill lined up as a pass catcher and played quarterback during 7-on-7 drills during the team's first day of minicamp. It's hardly a shock considering Hill -- who is tight end eligible in many fantasy formats -- had 96 rushes, nine catches, and 13 completions as a utility player in the New Orleans offense last year. He was vexing for fantasy managers but was a week winner when the team used him as a goal line bulldozer. It doesn't appear his role will change with Derek Carr on the roster. Hill remains the best late-round tight end option thanks to the high-value touches he gets in the Saints offense, however unpredictable.

Asked about his role, Taysom Hill said "the hope and the expectation is that" his role as a receiver expands.

"Maybe doing more as a receiver ... I think that's stuff that hasn't been explored a ton with me here," Hill said, while noting that running routes and catching balls was initially a "foreign thing." We'd believe anything you told us about Taysom's role next year. He remains a top-tier late-round best ball tight end because of his upside to help in multiple areas.

Fascinating career.

With the athleticism of QBs today, I think teams should try stuff like this. Every team.

It can't be a big worry of an irreplaceable void that the third string QB gets hurt.

After Randall ( could be different, just my perception) I noticed a lot more athletic backups. We got Slash but not really his heir Randel El.

Cobb barely played another spot besides WR too.

Every Titans fan has said where are the 'use your athleticism' plays for Malik Willis.

Miami didn't even want Tannehill when they gifted him to the Titans. How come they didn't try that college WR in a slash role?

It's really odd how only this guy or that guy ever gets the opportunity to show they have other skills that could help a team.

Saints listed Taysom Hill as a quarterback on the initial depth chart for Week 1.

This is likely a move designed to take advantage of the league’s emergency quarterback rule extension for the coming year, which could effectively allow them an additional game-day roster spot. The Saints could then activate Jameis Winston on Sunday as the emergency quarterback if Taysom is listed as the team’s QB2.

Taysom Hill had three carries for four yards and one target in a Week 1 loss to the Titans.

Another year, another season of Taysom Hill remaining involved in all facets of the game for the Saints. Hill lined up in the backfield, under center, and out wide in the game. All of his rushes came from directly under center with the Saints still using packages for Hill even with Derek Carr in town. While Hill had no catches, he was targeted in the red zone, which suggests that he will continue to frustrate fantasy managers with inconsistent big games throughout the season.

No comments on announcer Ross Tucker calling Taysom "one of the best football players ever"?

Taysom Hill rushed nine times for 75 yards in the Saints’ Week 2 win over the Panthers, also completing one pass for 8 yards and catching one pass for -1 yards.

Jamaal Williams left the game with a hamstring injury in the second quarter and was unable to return. The Saints were left with just practice squad call-up Tony Jones at running back after the Williams injury. This forced them to shift toward more rush attempts for Hill. The positionless phenom was absurdly efficient. The Panthers struggled to bring him down on first contact and he fell forward on nearly every tackle. If Williams and Kendre Miller are out for Week 3, Hill could be heavily involved in offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael’s game plan.
