QB & TE Waiver Targets (2 Viewers)

I am in a 12-team full PPR keeper league with 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, DST, K, 3 BN. I need to upgrade my QB and TE positions as I currently have Lawrence and Loveland. Which players make most sense to target that are available on waivers:

QB: Herbert, Fields, Love, Jones, Rodgers. I’m leaning toward Herbert to keep season long instead of streaming, but curious if you think I should keep streaming and if so who to pick up

TE: Goedert, Ferguson, Henry, Pitts (I have London), Okonkwo, Strange, Juwan Johnson

Thanks!

Hello there!

At quarterback, I would look at Fields with Herbert as a close second place. Fields has the lethal rushing upside that has made him top six in fantasy points per drop back for three straight seasons. In New York, he arguably has the best receiver he has ever played with and looked excellent this last week against a Pittsburgh defense that should be strong this year.

At tight end, Pitts is the answer here. The unicorn of an athlete seems to be back! 8 targets, 7 receptions, looked great on the field too. Drake London and Darnell Mooney are both on the injury report, so Pitts will be necessary for Penix Jr. and this offense. Also, keep an eye on Harold Fannin Jr, who I would have ranked above the rest of the options. The third round rookie for the Browns has lethal athletic ability, putting up over 1500 yards in his final Bowling Green season at just 20-years-old. In his Cleveland debut, he led the team in targets (9) with an established vet tight end on the team in David Njoku. He looked great on those targets, outplaying Njoku. All of that is simply unheard of, it displays that he is a legit talent and more is coming.

You like Fannin over Dalton Kincaid and Juwan Johnson? Fannin has such high upside but Kincaid looked pretty sharp the other night. Seems like target share going forward might benefit Johnson.
