QBBC in Atlanta? Vick & Schaub (1 Viewer)

I know this would never happen, but thought it would be an interesting concept to discuss. Schaub is the better passer, so what isf the Falcons put Schaub in the game for all passing plays, like 3rd downs, for example. And kept Vick in the game for all rushing plays, and he could also pass if needed, depending on what the defense was showing.

This would probably never happen, but could it work? Its an interesting concept that I thought woudl be interesting for discussion.

Personally, I think it could work occasionally. Line Schaub up and Vick at a tailback position or as a receiver. All sorts of things they can do. Defense would be confused. They'll be focusing on Vick a lot and forgetting others. Schaub has multiple targets at his disposal and could simply throw to one of them and ignore Vick. Or he could pitch it to Vick and let him run like a RB. Or he could pitch it and let Vick throw it. Or line Dunn up next to Vick and have both split to each side and pitch it to Dunn.

I mean, the options are limitless... I say give it a shot sometime!

IIRC, Falcons had the highest 3rd down conversion % in the league last year.

I think Knapp should switch things up some. Maybe put Vick in with Schaub and do some reverses or some other interesting plays. Unfortunately, a Knapp offense almost makes the MLB look exciting . He's got so many playmakers (Dunn, Norwood, Vick, Crumpler, Schaub, D Hall), but doesn't do anything with them.

EDIT: Falcons had 2nd best 3rd down conversion.

Also, Schaub could be used to run screens. Right now the Falcons can't run them with Vick because defenses don't use standard rush techniques against him, and he's not the best touch passer. They need to get some of those great runners in the open field.
