QBBC article is not up yet, my auction draft is tomorrow and I am looking for a good pair to carry me to the CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

TD's are 6pts, and the following QBs are either too expensive or keepers: Brady, Brees, P. Manning, Rodgers (great call on 08), Rivers, Cutler, Warner, McNabb and Romo.

Thanks for your help.

I've been considering Palmer and Orton. They do have a rough patch in the middle of the season where you have to play Orton v Bal one week and then either Palmer v Bal or Orton v Pitt the next week, but you get Cleveland, Oakland and KC 3 times each.

Palmer and Rothlisberger is actually really nice except they have the same bye. If you believe in Flacco, either Palmer or Rothlisberger with Flacco gets you Cleveland 4 times and the AFC West and NFC North twice.

I think when employing the QBBC, you should look for 3 qbs to rotate.

I like Hasselback, Schaub, and Orton, as guys you should b e able to pick up pretty late.

My league ONLY allows 2 QB's in the roster. I like Hasselbeck & Schaub but DEN has a tough schedule and reports out of DEN are not too promising.

almost agree with this.......BUT1) Schaub WON'T be going late - if he stays on the field (and that IS a risk) he will easily be Top 10 QB this year2) it is Hasselbeck......and he IS underrated this year (plays STL, SF and AZ twice)3) Orton could be good IF Marshall is healthy and plays (and as long as he doesn't look in the mirror and remember he is Kyle Orton)

I think one has to be flexible. Obviously some players you think can be had late, won't. So it is best to have a list of about 6 qb's that can work. Bulger is intriguing to me, but I think that offense is going to be run, run, and run some more.

Wow, tough to have a successful committee with only 2 qbs. With that said, I would definitely target HAsselback. The only thing holding him back is injuries. He has some good receivers/tight ends to work with, along with a pretty poor running game, which means they might have to rely on the pass quite a bit. And he always goes late, even when he has come off solid seasons of late.

In this order:

Palmer/Hasslebeck

Palmer/Cassel

Palmer/Orton

Palmer/Garrard

I like Palmer in case you didn't notice.

I also think going for 3 is a good plan, then I drop the one that doesn't pan out if roster spots are tight. I like to mix low/high risk players too. I haven't looked at schedules, but Garrard/Edwards sounds like a good pairing to me. Then you could add a 3rd risky guy like Sage or a safe play like Delhomme/Pennington.

The other thing to consider is the coaching staff. Greg Knapp is the OC and he has a history of leaning on the running game, but the team is built to throw. It will be interesting to see what personality the offense takes on this season.

I will say that sometimes 1 quarterback emerges from these committees. I tried the approach for the first time last year. I drafted Aaron Rodgers, Matt Hasselback, and Shaun Hill. Rodgers obviously stepped up. I guess it is a possible bonus.

I'm rolling a Palmer/Romo QBBC this year...
Usually you want three QB's in your committee to maximize the effectiveness of this strategy. I'd add Brees or Brady.
Brees/Brady/Peyton make a good combination, but then you need like 30 roster spots to do RBBC, WRBC, TEBC. Good news is you only need one kicker.

I think if you are lucky enough to draft early (1.01-1.04,) QBBC works real well. Brees, Brady and Manning are gone by the 2-3 turn where you will get your WR1 and possibly RB2 depending on your rules.

I was able to draft these three late. I think any of them could possibly be a top 15 QB. If you believe in Flacco this may be the year he has a pretty good schedule.

9.01 Garrard

10.12 Eli Manning

12.12 Flacco

Cutler/Edwards have a schedule that dovetails pretty nicely. In a keep 3 league, I drafted Cutler at 5.09 (equivalent of the 8th round) and took Edwards at 7.09. Point being, you can get these guys pretty late and the SOS works in your favor (mostly for Cutler, that is).

I'll be trying to get two amongst Schaub, Palmer, Garrard, Edwards. Palmer seems to be the popular "sleeper" this year so for a shot at him or Schaub I'll probably have to grab a qb in the 5th or 6th round when I usually wait till about 8th & 9th round in my 14 team league.
