Anyone here use them? They usually payout in early January and definitely by mid January (last year was paid on 12/31). They haven’t paid out my league, claimed some leagusafe issue they were trying to resolve (as of 2 weeks ago)  but now unresponsive to emails since Monday. Anyone else running into this with them?

Yeah, I am in 4 league, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5/6.

plus I paid for next season for all but one to complete futures deals......

I mean technically leaguesafe should have us covered. Probably time to contact them ourselves.

We dumped them last year and just manage it ourselves. I did still get the email saying they were having issues but it sounded like BS to me - looks like we bailed at just the right time.

Only if they actually used league safe

Good luck
They did which is what makes this all so odd. They claimed they are having difficulty releasing the funds via leaguesafe. I contacted LS and my next step will be to request LS to send the email for the majority vote for funds disbursement . If they cannot do this without commish then I plan to claim they are a vacant Commish and to get a league vote to re-assign to me so payments can be voted on and disbursed.

I've been in leagues run by the owner since before he purchased quest last year (FFLS). This is the 1st issue I've ever had, and he could have ran with my money a lot more easily before he used leaguesafe.  so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt for a bit longer.

A poster on DLF board also shared that he received feedback from leaguesafe saying Quest was working on processing payments. I'd recommend contacting Leaguesafe and confirming for yourself for your league.

A few seconds of my life determined quite clearly that the site isn't a smart place to be sending money.

Why do people use sites nobody has ever heard of?  Why give money to these sites at all?
And why are they surprised when these "companies" steal their money? These no name sites are used mostly by people that know no-one to join a league with. They build trust by paying out for several years, and then when they have built their client base large enough to where it makes sense to run with the money, they do. Hopefully these guys pay everyone, and with the use of leaguesafe I'm sure everyone will at least get their league fees back, but I would stop using them immediately.

Thousands of leagues run by them would indicate they aren’t obscure, regardless of whether you’re aware of them. Nice cherry pick though The intent of this thread is for others impacted to share (or others with common experiences to weigh in)  what info they have not for trolls like you to hijack it. Thanks for your contribution. ;)

Surprised in this case because it really makes little sense given LS supposedly has us covered. All they are doing with their poor communication and late payouts is killing any credibility they had.

Very short Email I just got from LS

Hi,

Yes the payouts should happen very soon. We're very confident on this.

Have a great day.

I get that you are upset.  Try not to take it out on people here trying to help you make better choices in the future.

eta - also if by "thousands" you meant a couple hundred (maybe 300?), then yea.. thousands.

Who said anything about thousands at this exact moment? These same guys also ran FFLs before. They have run thousands of leagues. They aren’t obscure by any means. You are of no help. I don’t need an internet troll’s help regarding decision making. Move along unless you can contribute to information related to the thread.

I'm not trolling.

I can prove it to you.... will you give that geocities website your money next time?

You sure about that?

He’s comes into threads to show everyone how much smarter he is. Not sure if it’s shtick or just his personality.

My first impression when coming into the thread was that this was another case of stolen money, but the crazy thing is they charge such absurd rake on those leagues it wouldn't make any sense to run off with the entry fees.  I chalk it up to the garden-variety kind of mismanagement you get when it's just one guy in a basement running the "company."  People will get paid, it's just taking a while because [insert whatever stupid excuse the guy can come up with].

Very possible... It looks like it may all work out for him.  And I hope it does.

Having said that.. this isn't the first time throughout the years we see people coming in here with horror stories about hole in the wall sites.  Which is what you would/should expect from hole in the wall sites.

If that makes me smarter than you.... I hope that doesn't make me smarter than you?

I don’t care if you’re smarter than me or not. But you contributed nothing to this thread or help the original poster in any meaningful way.

Just something I’ve observed with you posting style. Take it or leave it.

Not sure why the original poster is being trolled. Money was held in leaguesafe and its still there. Commish goes awol and it takes longer but there are systems in place to still get your payouts.

I can't see a better way to help these posters that come in with issues regarding these sites than to question and advise them not to use those sites.  More like a PSA for the world.

Is there something wrong with pointing out the theme here with the annual threads about this time of year with people looking for their money?

My posting style seems to be the preferred strategy of attack rather than the point being made by many...  I guess you have to take it or leave it.

Commish of a site running "thousands of leagues" goes awol?

They’ll get their money. Why be a tool?
When?

What did you mean by the site's commish goes awol?  How does that happen with a legit site?

Never seen it with the myriad of legit mainstream options I've been a part of.  Can't imagine Joe "going awol".

Nobody thinks the site they’re  part of is in danger. There have been some high profile ripoofs in the past. That’s how leaguesafe got started. Money is still in leaguesafe, it just hasn’t been distributed yet. If it’s set up as league majority approval, the commish can’t just have the money sent to his account. Leaguesafe is vested in making sure payouts are correct as well, it’s bad for business if they’re not.

I got the email below 1/19.  I am currently willing to give them some more time.  In the past I did get notifications from LeagueSafe when i paid my fees, so feel confident the money is there.

Hi All,

Here's another update on payouts:  when we took over operations of Quest, not only did we have to run day to day of all leagues during the season, but we had to figure out the accounting picture of all leagues, as the information shared with us during the transition was not completely comprehensive.

This, coupled with the manual nature of LeagueSafe, our need to familiarize ourself with the platform, and some nuances into how LeagueSafe structures the accounting of not just all leagues collectively, but each league individually, has led to the delays in the processing of payouts.

We want to make a couple of assurances:

1.  This is not a financial issue.  The league is in great shape, both in the short and long term.

2.  We are working every day with LeagueSafe's team.  Basically, it's trying to interpret the previous owner's accounting tendencies to break them down, per league, then re-allocating any excess funds accordingly based on specific designated thresholds for each league.

It's extremely manual - both going through each individual league, as well as inputting the winners on LeagueSafe.  Fortunately, as we said during our last update, LeagueSafe has been great to work with and together we are working on it.

We will say this - we understand the concerns associated with the timing and our ability to process these payouts.  Given that we're not only new owners, but new to these systems, we do appreciate your patience and are trying as quickly and diligently as possible.  We know you all want to be paid, and we've completed all DataForce leagues and almost half of Quest leagues thus far.  While it's been about a month since the season ended, the volume of work associated with "cleaning up" the accounting, plus manually entering in each individual payout per league, but only doing so after our cleaned up accounting matched what LeagueSafe had, has been a long process.

Bottom line - we're trying, we're working diligently, and we will get them all done soon.  Moving forward for future seasons things will be easier and quicker as the accounting will be structured in a way that makes more sense and more accurately reflects each league.

We apologize for any delays, frustrations, or lack of timely updates on this.  Know that we are trying, and at the end of the day, our goal is to create a better experience for our owners.  But, it starts with work on the back-end to make sure Quest can become stronger than ever, and we're making great progress towards achieving that.

Thanks, for your patience, for a great season, and for what will be a great 2019!

Good thing they waited until the season was over to figure these things out.

My frustration level is quite high.  The fact that they no longer answer e-mail inquiry is very disconcerting.
"They" is Quest or Leaguesafe?

There was another long-running, multi-league commish based in Utah that blew up about 2 seasons ago. Similar in nature (at the start) to this one. I believe in that case he blew the money on personal stuff (maybe gambling with it) and didn't have the funds available to pay out. Last I read players were receiving legal notices that partial payments were being determined. No idea of the final outcome.

Am I correct in assuming that Leaguesafe would guard against this however? I'm not familiar with it though... is there complete transparency for all to see (confirmation that funds are there and how much is to be distributed out to your league)?

I received an update from leaguesafe.

Payouts should distribute this week.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Have a great day.

In a couple Quest leagues, and just got this in the email.  Anyone shed any further light?  Change of ownership before payouts are completed can't be good though...

Dear Quest customer,

For the last two years, DataForce had been working with Quest Fantasy Football to establish a partnership where we would serve as the legal provider of their games, while Quest served as the commissioner. DataForce Fantasy Football is a licensed, regulated fantasy game provider, with prize money and customer balances held in an attorney-audited, segregated fund as required by law. Our intended partnership with Quest was meant to provide Quest with a safe means of effortless compliance in today's environment of rigorous state regulation. A few start-up leagues were processed through us in 2017 and 2018.

However, due to another change in ownership by Quest (we just learned of this this morning), this partnership is now dissolving. We will be returning all monies that we have on deposit for Quest leagues within the next two days, at which time we'll provide you with a full accounting of all your leagues. At that time you may visit your My Account page at https://www.dataforceff.com/my-account to withdraw funds from DataForce so that you can reinvest if desired directly with Quest to continue playing in their leagues.

DataForce customers: Note that because your Quest account is linked also to DataForce and all our other partners, the money in your account can alternatively be used to purchase leagues at in our lobby or that of any of our other partners, without the need to withdraw and re-deposit.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. We sincerely apologize for any confusion and inconvenience.

Best,

Lee Harmon

Fanball bought them. Scott Fish and I will be serving as co-commish for those league moving forward. Scott mentioned earlier today on Twitter that all leagues should be paid out by the end of the week.

Scott came on our league site and posted on Tuesday that payouts would happen end of week. Heard nothing else, never received email. But I was in contact with LS and finally after my 4th email they sent me a link to collect payout. Definitely bad taste in my mouth from this.
