I'm in a dynasty league that counts punt/kick return yardage (1 pt/20 yds) along with other stats (to compare, WRs get 1 pt/10 yds receiving and RBs get 1 pt/10 yds rushing). And every draft day, one of the things I have the hardest time doing is accurately assessing the value of WRs and RBs that also handle kick return duties.
Take Cordarrelle Patterson as an example. He's been ranked by most of the big sites in the lower WR2 range (anywhere from #18 to #25). But when you add in the extra kick return yardage, and the occassional return touchdown, how much would you bump him up for that? Do you bump him up to WR1 range (he was WR13 in my league last year, so that's not that crazy), or give him a more modest boost? Does anyone else in a return yardage league have any advice on how they adjust their own rankings to account for the extra boost these players get?
