- If the Pats or Colts go 16-0 regular season and win 1 playoff game which will give them 17 straight victories in same season, but lose in the championship game will that end this record?
- Or do you have to go 19-0 which would include Superbowl victory same year?
What we do know, is that 16 straight wins in same season to tie the Dolphins record is not acceptable to the old farts. Steelers did that 3 years ago in 2004 (lost in week 1 then won 16 straight before losing in Championship game). They kept openning the bottles since.
Also we know that carryover years don't count to the old fart either. Pats (I think) won 17+ in a row overlapping 2 seasons a few years back. That was discredited as well by the Shula and the old farts, althought to me that is tougher to do than "same season".
What's it going to take guys to send them off to "shuffleboard land" and never hear the popping bottles from them again?
