Question about trade votes (1 Viewer)

Pwned

Footballguy
I am commish this year and already we have a controversy. Someone wanted to trade Bledsoe for Mushin and someone is voting to veto. My opininon is that vetos should only be used when there is a clear intent to cheat or deceive (ie offering an injured player), some people seem to think that if trades arent 50/50 they should veto, unless of course they are making the trade.

Am I wrong or what and how do most leagues handle these situations?

Good leagues don't let owners vote on trades due to the obvious conflict of interest. They elect a competent commissioner who they trust and rely on to make sound decisions and only disallow a trade due to collusion.

Your 100% correct in your opinion...but if you have written rules about trades, that player then has the rights to veto a trade- good or bad. Best bet is to rewrite the rules to your liking for next year.
