Questions about internet money leagues? (1 Viewer)

I've always just played yahoo and espn fantasy football with friends and associates, but this year I have a few bucks burning a hole in my pocket and I'd like to enter one of the high stakes leagues online. I'm not talking $1000 entry, but anything up to $500 is what I would consider.

Which sites are the most reputable and have the best prize payouts?

For some reason, AZ residents are excluded from playing in many of the leagues I've looked at. Have any of you worked around these sort of residency restrictions? I have friends and family in MI and could easily have them sign up on my behalf. However, I'm concerned that I'll be IP banned at draft time if I login from AZ.

I have a couple of friends that are willing to take the plunge with me. Which leagues, if any, allow friends to play in the same league?

With a second to phenoms, all of the big$ contests - WCOFF, NFFC, and FFPC have several different types of online championships and at different entry amount levels. Of course all of these are no trade leagues and in the bigger sense are not likely to put requests into the same league, but if there are online leagues many are in order of signups - just make sure there is no collusin between the entrants.

You can draft some of these leagues now or later depending on your preference. There are 12 and 14 team leagues, some with FAAB bidding during the season and some with larger rosters that are "draft champion leagues" where your scores each week are optimized and their is no lineup setting or roster changes during the year. Some are cash payouts or cash options while some reard the winner with a free entry to their Main Events the following year (generally worth more than the cash option). Something for everyone - Check them out, they are GREAT competitive leagues with many of the top players "getting ready" for the upcoming season.

Yeah, I came across that league, but in reading the fine print. I'm leery of signing up or "sponsoring a friend" in another state.

You are more than welcome to check our options at the FFPC. We do not restrict Arizona residents from playing. We have various satellite options starting at $77, $150, $250, $500 and higher. If you have any other questions, you can always shoot me a private message or email at dave@theFFPC.com. Good luck this season.

I have a few good leagues that people all over the U.S. are eligible to win.

If you are looking for any leagues, email cbsfantasyfootball2008@gmail.com

Thanks for all of the recommendations. I'm pouring over all of them now, trying to decide which one(s) to play. I'm not sure I want to draft until the preseason is in bloom, but definitely before the season starts.

What's with all the Las Vegas drafts happening after the 1st game of the season???

Check out www.FantasyHeadquarters.com, I've played there for several years now, they have ALL KINDS of leagues, and entry fees. Really a lot of choices to choose from, plus they had a post somewhere on here that was giving 5% off of their league entry fees if you mentioned the FootballGuys message board upon joining.
