We're at the halfway point (more or less) for most of you. Hopefully most of you are already considering optimizing your playoff lineups :lmao: , otherwise it's time to push for the playoffs or begin the rebuilding process.

We're going to open this week's agenda up again to questions from our listeners.

We'd appreciate it if you kept your questions general, but looking to take the pulse of the community on those players, situations and strategy issues on your mind this week.

I'll kick it off by asking a very general question directed towards teams in dynasty leagues that are out of the contention already and have turned an eye towards next season.

Regular readers and listeners know some of the bigger names that could be serious contributors next season already (guys like Levy, Avril, Hayes, etc)...but I think it would be very beneficial to look towards next season with a crystal ball (figuring out contract situations, players moving on creating openings, etc).

For example(s) (and maybe this is a reach)..

- Takeo Spikes winding down in general and now is dealing with an injury, Scott McKillop is the guy to keep an eye on down the stretch and next season?

- The Cincy LB situation seems cloudy, next season should bring a lot of changes (departure of Dhani, etc)

- Thoughts on Baltimore's LB situation...seems to be a revolving door...next season?

etc etc etc

So just in general...those kinds of changes that could take place and who would stem to benefit from them the most.

My biggest problem is with DL. I look at some of your dynasty rankings and then I use the FBG match up tools for the coming weeks to the rankings and there seems to be a disconnect. Mentally, I sum up those matchups (green, yellow, red) and compare to what I think are like talent/scheme. Seems to work very well for LBs, and DBs but those DLs... So any suggestions as to the methodology of your process for selecting DLs would be appreciated.

What's up with Channing Crowder? He's always been solid in the tackle column, but not so much on big plays... but now the tackles aren't there. Is there any reason for optimism this year or beyond, or is it time to dump him even in dynasty leagues?

DET LB situation: In one dynasty league, Ernie Sims was just dropped. Should he be a WW target even though we don't know the extent of the injury? Is Levy a long-term answer there? Will Dizon ever factor in again?

SD LB situation: Cooper was shut out and (I think) Burnett was out with injury... and Dobbins had a huge game. Is Dobbins going to get enough snaps that he will be worth grabbing? Is there any reason for optimism with Burnett? What happened with Cooper? (I wasn't able to catch the last game).

 
What is the deal with the Deffensive Scorekeepers this year they suck is there any explanation for this, in the past years they were spot on for the most part?

 
What are the Bears doing next year in the Middle and will a Saftey ever settle in and put up numbers like Payne did last year? Is Payne done in Chi? Will Nick Roach continue to see 3 downs in the middle?

 
Last question from me what is wrong with Durant and how serious is his injury? I have already lost Urlacher, Tatupa (maybe).

 
Who would you guys target for the run-in at each position - LB, DT/DE and S/CB? Which guys will break out in your opinion?

 
What the heck is up with Richard Marshall? Almost time to dump him and move on it seems.

Also, what's up with the Giants LBs...Pierce looking steady so far, should stay that way rest of the season?

 
DL: Still high on Cliff Avril? any update on Justin Smith injury?

LB's: Is it time to cut bait with Stephen Cooper and Gary Brackett? L. Foote, W. Witherspoon and D. Hawthorne (SEA) are still available.

DB's: I can only keep 3 of the following:

- Adrian Wilson

- Troy Polamalu

- Tyvon Branch (OAK)

- B. Mcgowan (NE)

- Erik Coleman (ATL)

What happened with Keith Brooking this week? He only had 2 solos. I have Timmons on bye this week and may have to start Brooking. Should I look elsewhere?

Nick Roach is on the waiver wire. Is Nick Roach a 3 down guy still?

Basically, should I drop Brooking for Roach this week and how does it look moving foward?

would like to clarify the db roles in seattle going forward now that Marcus Trufant is returning to the lineup...I believe that will bump out Josh Wilson maybe he'll return kicks play nickel just trying to find out how it will end up....thxs
