Quick.....Who is leading the NFL in rushing yards? (1 Viewer)

Some other COMPLETE surprises, IMO.

SJax is still 4th in the NFL in rushing yards.

Bradshaw is 5th!!!!!!!!! That is shocking

And, as bad as they've been, Jacobs and Portis are also in the top 10.

Of the 1st round draft picks, only AP, SJax, and Chris Johnson are in the top 10 in rushing yards.

I'm curious when/if the Bengals have ever had the NFL's leading rusher. Ickey had a great year, but I know that James Brooks had over 1000 yards that year so it probably wasn't him if anyone.

I do not believe CIN has ever had a league leader in rushing.

He's averaging 22+ carries per game, plus a few catches. He's last year's Turner but people STILL aren't valuing him as highly as they should.

Weeks 14 - 16 he plays the Vikings (ouch), Chargers (whoo-hoo!), and Chiefs (sweeeet). He's a guy to buy right now as I don't believe many owners are quite appreciating him due to his name. If Turner were doing this his price would be a lot higher.

gore/LT injuries skew the 1st rd stuff a lot.

I know Bears fans don't want to hear it, but I'm glad Benson has turned his career, and in all likelyhood his life around. Deadspin/rumors/etc claim the man spent most of his "free-time" drinking/smoking way too much during his time in Chicago, and that certainly helped explain why looked so bad on the field during his time with the Bears.

Congrats to the Bengals for giving the man a last shot, and to Benson for taking advantage of it. Even though I was dissapointed with his play, I liked the man ever since he wept on draft day. Irrational, yes, but it was a breath of fresh air in the uber-macho NFL world.

On the other hand, when Benson asks for an extention after this season, Mike Brown will have to think long and hard about that, because players with "issues" will always have to fight them...

But the way he is running the ball(on par with the best backs in the NFL, at least)...is well...very fun to watch. I'd probably give him a two year deal with big time incentives for years three and four.

Corey Dillon would be the closest I'd assume, but I don't think he ever lead the league.

Cedric Benson is STILL bad. What are you guys smoking?
I don't know how it happened, and the NFL probably doesn't want to know, but Benson simply isn't the same back he was in Chicago. He is running harder, he appears faster, and the bottom line is that he is motivated(all good RB's are motivated by something, once many of them get the cash, their play typically falls off a bit)...The guy always had elite talent, although the last time he showed was his sophomore/junior years at Texas, but something has clicked. I didn't buy the Benson is good now line until I watched him this weekend, and it's like watching a completely different player. Roids/money/woman/no drugs/etc, whatever it is, it's working...
