Quietest 6 TD game ever (1 Viewer)

Usually when someone tosses 6 TDs it's a pretty big deal. Brees is like the 10th story and the TDs are treated like a side note, as if it was expected. I know it was against the Lions, but it's still impressive.

Just checked the ESPN NFL front page. No mention of Brees among the cover story(shockingly it's Favre) or 10 other headlines. Unbelievable.

It was the Lions and they ran up the score. It's the NFL, so nobody is going to begrudge them for it, but it isn't a big deal when a pro bowl (perhaps the best in the league) QB has a big game against them. Only thing I'm interested in seeing is whether other big games are also viewed the same way against a pro team that might lose to UFL, CFL, and NCAA teams.

I disagree with the running up the score part. He threw his 5th with 4 minutes left in the 3rd only up 11, and were only up 11 when he threw the sixth. A seventh would have been a bit much. When's the last time someone threw 7?

:goodposting: it was never close, but perhaps I'm being a bit strong. The Lions offense being able to score 20 is a pretty strong indication that Brees could actually beat his last year's stats.
