Thanks for giving the Steelers two more wins this time. Good to see a 2nd SB win in four years now has them equal to the Bengals in your eyes.

I do like your idea of English soccer relegation. Detroit goes 0-16 and is replaced by Tampa Bay. I didn't even know they had a second franchise.

lol you're welcome :unsure:seriously thought the o-line is a definite question there.I also want to give myself a chance to meet my goal of doing better than if I simply predicted every team at 8-8 :) -QG

I just don't think the browns are gonna be as bad as everybody thinks. I don't think they are gonna be good but I see 6-7 wins for them. It could be me just hoping!!

I tried three hours ago, although I was a bit more subtle. :whoosh:
LOLOops - fixin' it in a minute.Got transported to 1977 for a minute there...
I was heading out so I must've blown right by your post. TheJerk.Anyhow, Detroit fans rejoice, I have you winning 2 games! Of course that might be just the ticket to doom to you another winless season...-QG

Dallas is sure underrated around these parts. Last year everything that could have went wrong did and the Cowboys still finished at 9-7 and were one 4th quarter collapse against the Ravens away from making the playoffs. Barring injuries as their depth is suspect at OLB, and NT there is NO way Dallas finishes with a losing record. Sure Dallas lost TO but its not the same TO from years past, last year his age really started to show and he couldnt beat press coverage. If your buying into the hype that the Dallas offense wont be able to function without TO your watching too much ESPN. Also Dallas led the NFL last year in sacks and Wade Phillips said that he no longer has to hide his SS (used to be Roy Williams now Sensabaugh) and can blitz without regard. I cant wait to watch this defense. Im predicting at least 4+ against the immobile Leftwich to start the season.

No problem, QG. I respect what you're doing putting yourself out there. It's fun.

Dallas is sure underrated around these parts.
Two likely reasons:Dallas hasn't won a playoff game since Clinton's first term.Dallas is 34-14 in Weeks 1-13 (twelve games) from 2005-2008, but only 6-10 from Weeks 14-17 those same four seasons.

wow people bumping this mess? :)

Guess going against the Broncos is a safe choice in your survivor pools for the rest of the year

:lmao: :lmao: I guess I don't have to watch anymore football this year.
3-San Diego 12-4 Oakland 6-10 Kansas City 4-12 Denver 3-13
I can't wait for the snow to start falling so I can go snowboarding on Sundays instead of watching the next 13 losses. ;)QG, I'm glad you can laugh at your own predictions, I know it's all in fun.

That was mighty generous of him :goodposting:
Congratulations on your win. When it happens more frequently, perhaps you'll learn how to enjoy victory without feeling the need to insult others.
I must have missed the part where I insulted someone

It was inferred from the combination of your post with your signature. Nine wins being an overestimate is implied by your post, too.
Wow Jerk, sensitive much? You infer a lot.

Not to interrupt the lovefest but this rinky-dink thread I've created for my Miss Cleo-Like projections really isn't the place for swapping insults - please.

8/12 playoff teams - less horrible than I expected. Has to be an improvement over that '08 disaster :) Woohoo! At least I did better than if I had picked every team 8-8 (which woulda been 80 games different). My total was 62 games different on record. I'll dig up some decrepit folks like Peter King to see if I at least did better than them :)

:bowtie:

Btw, I may be crazy enough to make this a (prize free, but pride-full) contest next season if folks are so inclined.

Will try to develop a reasonable scoring system and post a thread more than 1 day before the season starts if folks are interested.

Will be easy enough to run...until the first week of January :blackdot:

Actually now that I think about it, that will add some intrigue to the playoffs for folks in contention.

Anyhow, let me know what you guys think.

-QG

*bump*

let's see how my playoffs fared

Playoffs:

4) Tennessee 23 5) Indianapolis 17

3) San Diego 31 6) Miami 10

2) Baltimore 28 3) San Diego 7

1) New England 30 4) Tennessee 14

2) Baltimore 23 1) New England 17

5) Washington 33 4) Arizona 27

3) New Orleans 21 6) Chicago 10

3) New Orleans 31 2) Green Bay 28

1) Philadelphia 17 5) Washington 13

3) New Orleans 20 1) Philadelphia 10

Super Bowl XLIV: Baltimore 27 New Orleans 11

So I had a final 8 of: Tennessee, San Diego, Baltimore, New England, Washington :goodposting: New Orleans, Green Bay, and Philly

Hmm, 3 out of 8 :)

Final 4: Baltimore, New England, New Orleans, Philly

1 out of 4 :)

Final 2: Baltimore, New Orleans

1 out of 2 - guess I coulda done worse. Like say last year.
