R.Moss dynasty owners (1 Viewer)

First an admission: One year ago when Moss made some ludicrous comments that he was loving life and taking it easy I claimed Moss would never again be a relevant FF factor. I rued the fact that I had not immediately traded him away a year prior when he had his initial big game with Oakland. I swore I would not make the same mistake again if he somehow had a dead cat bounce elsewhere.

I did a quick search and there were a couple posts from week 1-2 that posed the question "Are you selling high on Moss?" Another Moss earlier post questioned whether he can be a top 10 WR. IMHO I think 4 consistent weeks in, we're now past the point of considering this a "sell high" player in redraft, and Moss will no doubt be a top 10 WR this season, barring injury.

However, I'm really struggling with how to view Moss from a dynasty perspective. He went from being a surprisingly sluggish 29 in Oakland to a surprisingly dominating 30 in New England, virtually overnight it seems. Yes, we're just 4 games in, but am I the only one thinking he could close out his career in New England? How long is that? Is he still perceived a highly combustible player? From my perspective, he'll be happy as a clam as long as he's winning, I don't see money being a barrier to that as I firmly believe Moss would only demand money to be part of a losing organization.

I noticed that F & L has upgraded Moss to his #3 dynasty WR. I haven't checked the FBG rankings to see if they've similarly updated.

Hold or Sell? If Sell, what value balances his risk/reward?

Totally depends on your team and your needs. Personally, if Moss stays in NE for lets say the next 4 years......jeez, him and Brady could connect on many many TD's. I for one am holding him.

No way am I considering any deals for Moss right now. I can see this being a goldmine for the next 3-4 seasons.

If Moss stays in NE for the next few years he should continue to be huge. That is a big if since he is only on a one year deal but it is all we have to work with right now so I am holding on to him.

Given he has at least a few more years in him there's no reason to trade him, unless you get a great deal.

No matter how good a player is there is always a price you should trade him at, even if that price is unrealistically high.

you win FF with studs, especially late round ones. Unless you have a horrible team, have no chance of winning and need to desparately restock I might deal him otherwise there's no way. He looks like he may have an LT type season for wr's.

no way i trade him. I've been sitting on him for two years. I'm enjoying this.

The guy i got him from wanted him back. I told him it would take Michael Turner and Larry Johnson. He ended talks right there. What he didn't know is that it would also take a protection spot.

I am not trading Moss. He is going off even more than when he was with the Vikings.

It cracked me up when Brady said Moss catches the ball every time he throws it to him.. so why would he stop throwing it to him?

All you Moss haters who thought he was washed up.. lol.

Moss is sick man. On pace to score 28 TD this year and he hasn't had a 3+ TD game yet.. he easily still could. Jerry Rice's record may not be safe.

I like Moss even better next year assuming he resigns with the Pats. Which is pretty safe to assume I think. Moss is rich allready. Now he just wants to win man.

This is pretty much like a "should I trade Marvin Harrison/TO" question, except that Moss is younger than either of those guys and arguably has the best situation. I think you would be hard pressed to parlay any trade into a superior position. I say you hold him.

I was just offered LT, Holt, Scheffler for Randy, Reggie Bush, Morris, Heath Miller, and my 2008 1st and didn't even consider it. I think Randy will outscore LT this year!

It comes down to money. He took a discount this season. Don't expect that again. It all depends on what the Patriots will pay him. Are they willing to have the highest paid wide receiver in the league on their team? We'll see.

Winning in contagous.. he's never been on a winning team and it's not like he needs the money. i know the typical athlete mentality is to go for the money but if he truely wants a shot at a ring the best consistent shot is going to be in NE. like his atitude or not it has seem to have changed some since being in NE, remember what a pain cory dillion was but like you said we'll see...fwiw... i'd hold unless my team was a wreck and i needed to rebuild

To set aside money going for "a" ring is one thing. For multiple championships is totally different. . Let's say he keeps up this pace and has one of the greatest seasons of all time. It'd be stupid for him to do that and not try to parlay that into getting a huge contract. He's gonna make more money it just comes down to whether the Patriots are willing to pay or not. In the past they have for players they want (Tom Brady, Richard Seymour,Corey Dillon). We'll see where Randy Moss is on their priority list. In the end though it's almost always about the money.
