Raiders fans- How's Steve Smith doing? (1 Viewer)

I remember seeing a story on ex-Penn State and Oakland Raider running back Steve Smith about a year ago on Sportscenter.

I haven't heard anything about him since.

Is there any local coverage on him out west?

A good friend of mine from high school died this week from the same disease and it made me wonder how Smith's battle is going.

Wow. It looks like there may be a slight hope. Even if it's wishful thinking on Smith's part, I'm sure the possible Lime disease scenerio has made the past year much better than if he thought he had a death sentence.God bless him.

not to say he doesn't have ALS, but tick borne disease can wreck havoc on neurological function. i am getting my german shepherd treated for babesia which is a tick borne disease. she got it somewhere and it's somewhat rare. our vet hadn't seen a case in years and the disease was doing some damage to my dog. lesson learned: don't mess with ticks. treat accordingly.
