Same with his stat line. What is wrong with this guy?Cooper's body language looks like he's not into the game....
can't blame the guy with 1 target. it is like Carr is ignoring him on purpose.Same with his stat line. What is wrong with this guy?
I find it hard to believe that Coop is open all game and Carr is ignoring him. There has to be more to this.can't blame the guy with 1 target. it is like Carr is ignoring him on purpose.
Watched every route he ran and at least half the time Carr never looked that entire side of the field less yet looked his way. Instead Carr preferred to do stuff like throw sideline fades on third down to a well covered Jared Cook.I find it hard to believe that Coop is open all game and Carr is ignoring him. The question is why then. Why does he disappear for long stretches?Watched every route he ran and at least half the time Carr never looked that entire side of the field less yet looked his way. Instead Carr preferred to do stuff like throw sideline fades on third down to a well covered Jared Cook.
In the end Amari had a terrible fantasy day and most people will say he sucks and that narrative will bother me. He sucked for fantasy, but does not mean he sucked.
Seems a few people here answered that question already when we are telling you we are watching the game and Carr is not looking his way.The question is why then. Why does he disappear for long stretches?
Okay, thanks for your input. But if I am a QB and I have a WR who is open...I am probably going to start throwing the ball to him. Especially considering the team record at this point. Not sure the answer is as simple as "he didn't look his way." QBs tend to look the way of players that can make them look good.Seems a few people here answered that question already when we are telling you we are watching the game and Carr is not looking his way.
At this point you are asking the wrong question. You need to be asking why Carr ignores him certain games?
The Raiders are in a downward spiral. Carr is not terrible but plays really hot or cold and when he is cold, he is awful. It's not the throwing, it's the decision making. He hasn't been right since 2016. He is done. Raiders are drafting a QB in 2019.Okay, thanks for your input. Let me be clear. When I say "not looking his way" I mean that in a very literal sense. Therefore he would not know if his WR was open. This is not every play, but a high majority. This is easy to see even without All 22 when Cooper as an example runs a route to the left and Carr gets the ball and turns his back to the left and never won time looks over the other direction.Okay, thanks for your input. I appreciate your insight as you have more knowledge than I do on this subject. I guess what I am questioning is Cooper inconsistent performance for the last year and a half plus. Game film shows who is open. If week after week Carr is being shown game film of Cooper open why is he not even looking his direction? That is my question.Let me be clear. Please go watch the game or watch it again and tell me if what I'm saying is not accurate.
Don't think anyone can explain Cooper.I appreciate your insight as you have more knowledge than I do on this subject. Well, given the backup situation, I think that would actually be a good idea.DocHolliday said:The Raiders are in a downward spiral. I should have been clear. The Raiders are drafting a QB in the first 2 rounds in 2019 to replace Carr. Gruden wants his QB to mold and Carr is not that guy.Well, given the backup situation, I think that would actually be a good idea.
But if we used a first round targeting one of the best prospects, it would enrage me to no end. Would tell me that we simply chose the wrong horse to bet on in the Carr/Mack race.
You can't predict success with 100% certainty, but I thought Carr was much better than this. In the end, maybe he's not, as at this point, he seems to play poorly more than he plays up to his supposed potential.
