Raiders vs Vikings - Preseason (1 Viewer)

Mark your calendars, Napolean Harris will make :football: up for this one!

After being packaged with a #1 and #7 draft pick, Napolean Harris finally gets his crack at administering some revenge on his former team, the Oakland Raiders. Despite being selected in the first round and playign his guts out, the Raiders jettisoned him like a piece of meat. I am sure Harris is chomping at the bit to show the Raiders what they traded away.

It is ironic stuff like this that makes me think of conspiracy theories. What are the changes Oaklands trades Napolean Harris to the Vikings and then the Vikings show up on the schedule.

Hmmm....1 / (32 NFL teams - the Raiders - their divisional opponents) = 1/28

;)

Revenge and Pre-Season game do NOT go together.
 I think Napolean Harris is going to stick it to his old team. He should get plenty of playing time in the 3rd and 4th quarter.

Yeah, he'll stuff some 4th string RB behind the line and really show the Raiders what they missed. :loco:

i find it funny that the NFL is giving a bad team (oakland) some face time on TV

usually the bad teams get no run

You're assuming Harris will be on the roster.

I'm not sure you can say that.
 So you don't give him much of a chance to make the 90 man roster for the first preseason game? I guess you don't feel good about his chances of making the 52 man squad.

In other news, Daniel E. 'Rudy' Ruettiger is attempting a comeback with the Michigan Wolverines so he can show Notre Dame that they should have played him a lot more.

I am sure Harris is eager to prove that he can match his season total of 18 solo tackles again this year. They will probably put a mic on him for the game to get all the drama from the trenches. This will clearly outshine Randy's return to MIN.

Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!Wait, isn't he out of eligiblilty?

It's tough to say "preseason" and "revenge game" in the same sentence and have it mean anything unless you are talking Red Sox/Devil Rays in baseball.

(For those that missed it, BOS/TB have had headhunting episodes the last few years and there was an all-out brawl the other day in a Florida grapefruit game.)

Doh! :yucky:

Please tell me you forgot to add the :sarcasm:

Revenge and Pre-Season game do NOT go together.
Tell that to Ron Mexico.

Well, Childress has been coy in suggesting the Vikings already have the guy they need at MLB for his version of the Tampa 2. But funny, he won't name who.Harris?

Henderson?

Thomas?

We all know Minnesota is the place LBers come to die. The elephant graveyard, even for the guys in their 20's.

 They had Del Rio 3 years past his prime. They had Birkert 3 years past his prime. They've spent countless 2nd rounders on guys in recent years. Kalie Wong? R. Smith? EJ Henderson? D. Thomas? They've brought in C. Clairbourne as the next big stud a few years ago. That worked well. Newman? Cowart was decent last year, but is only a line of scrimmage guy.

My favorite was Rudd. The guy should have had Pom Poms on instead of tape. I remember watching one game at the dome versus the Bears. He tackled some guy for a 3 or 4 yard gain to make it 3rd and 7. Started cheerleading up to the point of the snap of the ball like some #######g cartoon character. Gets caught out of position as the TE takes him out for a 15 yard gain. First down. What a tool.

Studwell was solid. But Vikes fans haven't had a stud at LB since Matt Blair.

Still......how many attempts does Oakland take at a downfield shot with Moss in the Dome? Vintage 40+ yard Moss jump ball.

I put the over/under at 2.
