Raji's value to the Packers this year? (1 Viewer)

Raji apparently was going to be asked to fill rolls he had no experience in by sometimes being a true nose tackle and sometimes moving out to D.E. he was going to be put into the Dom Capers system, one with which he has no familiarity, and one which, if reports are true, is unusually complex even for those familiar with their roles in a 3-4 defense. Now raji has missed the installation teaching of that defense.

My question is this, at this point can he really be anything more than just a healthy body this year. Have the packers already lost the true impact he could have made, and has he basically thrown away a huge portion of the achievements he will need if he lasts long enough to negotiate a second contract? Has he hurt his financial future, and if so by how much, presuming he would make it to a second contract (No safe assumption I know).

The coaches did the installation 3 times, once before the draft so Raji couldn't do that one obviously.

Once during the post draft mini-camp.

This last week was the 3rd and final install. They are now beginning their work on the Bears for week 1.

I think he could still have an impact but he would have to be a very special athlete for that to happen. Of course just having a healthy body at the position helps, but ultimately the Packers are probably not going to get exactly what they envisioned for the 2009 season.
