Don't people already start anyone and everyone against the Rams anyways?

Yes, but now you have to bench those players next week when they are bedridden.Don't people already start anyone and everyone against the Rams anyways?
nah, i wouldn't worry about it...i'd go ahead and start all Rams players this sunday as you usually would.Rotoworld reported the news, anyone knows who are the players involved?
Any risk for Sunday game?
Not worried about the Houston offensive players, I do not expect any Ram to be within 10 yards of them anyways..........Yes, but now you have to bench those players next week when they are bedridden.Don't people already start anyone and everyone against the Rams anyways?
Well, starting the HOU defense this week with confidence!
I was already looking to the Texans as my one-week fill in this week, and this certainly doesn't hurt that notion.Well, starting the HOU defense this week with confidence!
I am also stuck between AZ D and HOU D.... no idea which to choose.LOL Awesome... might change my defense.. I was originally going with ARI vs DET, but missing practice due to swine flu??? c'mon.. does it get any juicier?
Do those of us that are starting the HOU D get points for 0 yds and 0 pts scored?Has an NFL team ever forfeited a game due to illness (or any other reason)?
Can't get much worse for the Rams, can it?Ya, I snagged them off the wire this week and they look even better. I rolled the Titans against them last week and am hoping for a repeat performance by Houston.Houston Defense is a MEGABEAST this week.
Somehow I'm beginning to worry about having Schaub as my starter in two fantasy leagues. The media takes the H1N1 threat seriously.Let's see if the Rams practice tomorrow.Has an NFL team ever forfeited a game due to illness (or any other reason)?
Absolutely monster. I picked them up yesterday and inserted them into my semi-final matchup ahead of New Orleans.Houston Defense is a MEGABEAST this week.
I know it sounds crazy (and I'm not trying to be a fear monger) but there is a provision in the NFL rules for emergencies and it includes postponement and forfeiture. As a Schaub and AJ owner I hope they play.Somehow I'm beginning to worry about having Schaub as my starter in two fantasy leagues. The media takes the H1N1 threat seriously.Has an NFL team ever forfeited a game due to illness (or any other reason)?

I think I'm trotting out the Houston D over NE at Buff and Tenn vs MIA.Absolutely monster. I picked them up yesterday and inserted them into my semi-final matchup ahead of New Orleans.Houston Defense is a MEGABEAST this week.
The League recognizes, however, that emergencies may arise that make a game’s completion impossible or inadvisable. Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, severely inclement weather, natural or manmade disaster, power failure, and spectator interference. Games should be suspended, cancelled, postponed, or terminated when circumstances exist such that comencement or continuation of play would pose a threat to the safety of participants or spectators.I know it sounds crazy (and I'm not trying to be a fear monger) but there is a provision in the NFL rules for emergencies and it includes postponement and forfeiture. if they forfeit how would the HOU defense be scored? 0 pts and 0 yds, but NO sacks and NO fumbles and NO INT's? That would be crazy. It would only be 10 pts in my league, and that would be it.The League recognizes, however, that emergencies may arise that make a game’s completion impossible or inadvisable. i see nothing about cancelling a game because of ineptitude

They said 6 players were feeling flu like symptoms... I highly doubt an NFL game would be canceled for 6 players. Even if 5 players don't play, they'll still have 48 players to choose from to make up their 45 man roster.http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=trueRams coach Steve Spagnuolo wouldn't say how many players had the illness, but he said five or six players had flulike symptoms and added that other players had reported symptoms the last few weeks. He anticipated the Rams would return to practice Friday with a workout that will incorporate some of the elements missed Thursday.
"It's really more of a precaution than anything," Spagnuolo said. "We're checking everybody, we're just being careful."
HOU without question. SF has become a relatively efficient offense.I'm debating starting the Texans DST over Philly this week. It's gonna be really hard for me not to start Philly with the 49ers coming off an emotional win and a short week. Not only that but it's a west coast team flying east for a noon kickoff.Am I thinking too much?
Might depend on your scoring system. The weather will be bad in Philly. If it's still snowing and windy, their D might be good. If it's just windy (which looks likely), then both teams will be running the ball a lot. So if your scoring system places a lot of emphasis on the D holding opponents to low scores, Philly could be a good pick. If it rewards turnovers, sacks, and TDs more, you're not likely to get many, and should go w/Houston instead. After Peyton's performance for my opponent, I'm hoping for plenty Texans Defensive sacks and picks leading to more Matt Schaub to Andre Johnson TDs just to crawl back into a fighting chance.
i'm in the same boat... i'm waiting to see the full list of those who've come down with the sickness and who may be out come sunday. ALSO a thing to watch will be boller's health. if he's out again and null gets the nod, i think the texans may be a must start given how well he performed for the titans D last week. lolUsed HOU's defense last week vs. Seattle and they got me 15 pts. I had Arizona stashed for the past few weeks since they play @ DET this week. Wondering if HOU is now a better play than ARZ @ Det?
I made the same move.. I've been holding ARI since week 9 but under the circumstances it's really hard to pass this up. It's not like Houston is that terrible of a team that it's actually a hard decision, they have yet to allow a 100 yard rusher in some time. Also, if you look at standard formats, they really haven't been terrible all season.. they aren't an elite DST to have, but not horrible. Figure their going to focus on containing Sjax... after him, who's really going to hurt them? Kyle Boller's health really doesn't matter to me either, it's not like he's that much better then Null.i'm in the same boat... i'm waiting to see the full list of those who've come down with the sickness and who may be out come sunday. That's what we're trying to decide. I currently have ARZ's D in my roster and HOU's D is on the WW till' tomorrow since I dropped them on Wed morning before this news broke.HOU D or AZ D?
i dont have a choice anymore. texans DST > cardinals DST this week.12.18.2009 1:06 pm
Jackson, 3 other Rams miss practice with illness
By Jim Thomas
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Running back Steven Jackson, wide receiver Brandon Gibson, defensive tackle Darell Scott and quarterback Kyle Boller, all missed practice Friday because of flu-like symptoms. But St. Louis Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said he wasn’t sure if those players had come down with swine flu.
Defensive end Leonard Little had an infection in his knee that needed to be treated, and also missed Friday’s workout at Rams Park.
