Right now on Mike & Mike in the Morning, Schefter is saying the Rams contacted Brett Favre to fill QB vacancy.

Suprised to see 44 year old QB's in demand. Good for Brett to just say no. Rams are desperate. Jeff Garcia wants to play, call him up. Tell you what, Timmy Tebow isn't getting a phone call anytime soon. Poor guy.

Sucks, considering when he starts games, Tebow gives some teams a good chance to win.

He could clearly help STL and JAX

Doubt Favre would want that gig. If anything he would take the Cleveland gig.

New rules. No touching the QB. If Favre came out of college in the 2000s, he could have played to 60. By the time he got to 45, there would be a new rule of flags on QB, no tackling.

A source of mine said he only rejected it because the league won't let him play in jeans.
But only the ones with the "U-shaped" extra ball room in the crotch. Doesn't fit within the league mandated uniform guidelines.

If he'd go out there in a pair of Jordache's they'd be cool with it.

He was interviewed for 20-30 minutes by Andy Pollin on ESPN570 this morning.

"I had a great career. I think if anything, the last year that I played was an obvious writing-on-the-wall vision for you, if you will," he said. "It was time."

Favre said he's "content" with his life away from the game. "My family took a backseat for 20 years. My 14-year-old daughter plays volleyball and is in the ninth grade and will be playing again the next three years. I've taken trips that I never thought I'd take. I've gone to Yellowstone and I've gone to Glacier National Park. ... We've gone down to the Bahamas, we've done things that really everybody in my family just kind of waited for.

And even if he did have any hopes of returning, he said Thursday that his body won't allow it. "I'm like a yardstick, I'm so stiff," he said. "So I'm just trying to ... not stay in shape to play, but stay in shape to do everyday things, not only with my daughter and my wife and my grandson, but really just for me."

Oh stop it. Tebow hasnt helped anyone win since college. Denver won in spite of him not because of him. There is a reason Denver cut ties with their 1st round pick and nobody has used him at QB since.

I still love watching highlights of the Saints manhandling Farve in the playoff game..then of course the INT.

Favre's back drawing attention to himself.

Could he still play? Sure but doesn't want to be beat up anymore.

Not going to the game and congratulating Peyton when he broke his record was vintage selfish Brett.

Funny, if he was there and made any kind of deal about it you'd be saying the same thing, "vintage selfish Brett, making it all about himself".

Do we know that he didn't congratulate him privately?

he might have sent a picture of his junk, like he did in NYJ?
From what I've read about Manning's time at Tenn he may have enjoyed that.
