Rams WR Donnie Avery Foot Fracture (1 Viewer)

With Donnie Avery out a minimum of what looks to be 4-6 weeks with a foot fracture, who becomes the go to WR for Bulger?

Is it Ronald Curry or Laurent Robinson?

Avery's ADP pre-injury was around 8.05 and he was looking like he could be a strong WR3 with possible upside as the teams apparent #1 WR. For those who drafted him, are you going to hold on to him and hope he can pay dividends later this season? Anybody looking to grab Curry? The Rams have what looks to be a relatively decent strenght of schedule in terms of WR fantasy. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

OK, let's be logical here. I liked Avery's upside but this coupled with the Bulger injury, plus the Rams are in transition...I am steering clear of the whole situation. I doubt the risk is worth the reward right now.

I'd go with Robinson if I had to pick one - we already know what Curry is
 I agree with this statement. Now with Bulgers injury i dont think it really matters, this team is going to be awful. There are Lions fans that are calling the rams bad.

Ditto for me...two weeks into the preseason and this is already a trainwreck. Ronald Curry? Laurent Robinson? Geez!!! Once Bulger gets killed one more time you are going to have BROCK BERLIN throwing passes? My goodness!!!!! :)

At this point, I would not even touch Steven Jackson, if he fell to me at the top of the second round. This just looks brutal.

I Avery will still hold some value late this year, once Bulger comes back and they develop some chemistry. As for the rest of them I would stay away

I was pimping Avery a lot as a WR2 with an ADP of WR3. I think now though, hes a late draft prospect who could pay well in the 2nd half of the season. We have to believe the Rams will be down a lot and need to pass the ball in garbage time. Bulger to Avery the next Brooks to Horn?

Avery is going to be a good WR, Robinson is already a good WR and Burton has the talent to be better than both.

Anybody know how Brooks Foster is looking in camp?

He was really a very dependable WR at UNC that just got overshadowed by Tate and Nicks.

Not that it matters at all, but he might've been the strongest player, pound-for-pound, in all of college football last year. (He was benching 405lb. in college and broke Eddie Royal's record for bench press reps for a WR at the combine.)

Avery broke his foot somewhere in the first full week of August, like 8/7 or 8/8. The Rams first game is 9/13. That would be a little more than 5 weeks after the injury. It's possible he could be back for Week 1.

Avery has already been asking if he could practice again but the team wants his injury to heal, so it doesn't sound like pain will be a big issue.

I'd vote Avery stays the Rams #1 target.

I don't know the answer to your question but as a UNC guy I would envision Foster being a special teams type of player his entire career.

by the end of the season, i think that would be the best wager

 - I have him as a #3 WR so I dont need him until week 6 - I think he will be a solid #2 WR by the end of the year.

I was hoping Burton would do well this preseason but statistically it looks like Robinson is out performing him. I haven't been able to see the games. Could someone who has comment on how Burton has looked? Is he not getting open? Does Robinson look that much better? Is Burton worth drafting at all this point?

I was at the game last night and there is no doubt the Rams are expecting good things out of Laurent Robinson.

He was the focal point of the offense and actually looked very good.

Boller missed him after he got seperation in the endzone after running a very nice route.

You could do worse [if Avery isn't playing] than having to go with Robinson the first couple of weeks.
