Ramsey wants to be traded (1 Viewer)

Gibbs might have seen something he didn't like with Ramsey, but what does the old man see in Brunell that thinks he is the answer. Oh yeah the religion thing. The game has long passed by Gibbs.
I am not so sure that he sees the answer in Brunell, frankly after watching the press conference where he announced that Brunell was in on the redskins.com site I am not sure Gibbs has any faith in his QB situation. He seriously mumbled the decision and looks like he hadn't slept in days. I think he is losing his confidence, check it out for yourself. He looks old. When is the earliest that Campbell could see the light of day? Do you think the skins could succeed on a Ravens tactic - as long as the Offense doesn't mess up the defense will take care of it?

These two questions are related, so I'll answer them together, second one first. Yes, the Skins defense and run game is good enough in theory to replicate what the Ravens did in 2000. The only reason the defense did not end last season ranked #1 in the NFL was because the offense kept putting it in holes last year, deep in their own territory, or wearing it down over the course of a game by keeping it on the field. But make no mistake, that defense is a monster. The thing the defense needs to improve is generating turnovers. For such an aggressive defense, IIRC they only caused around 16 turnovers last year. I think they should double that or thereabouts.

If they're on the track that the 2000 Ravens were on, no way that Campbell sees the field this year. The one thing you can't have in the mix is a QB that gives away the ball. That's what got Ramsey pulled, and you know that it's probably going to be worse with Campbell. Watch their record - if they're in the playoff hunt, you won't see Campbell; if not, you might.
