I went with the Garmin 310xt, it just arrived today. I looked at the Suunto line, as well as the Garmin 910. I ended up comparing the 310 and the 910, and with both having 20 hours of battery life the only real difference I could see for strictly run usage (it had some cool multisport stuff) was that the 910 had a barometer for altitude, while the 310 relies on GPS. While I loved the idea of more accurate altitude data while on runs (Garmin Connect software "corrects" the altitude data once it's uploaded), it's not like I'm mountaineering so I couldn't justify the extra $150 or so just for that.
The Heart Rate strap seems more comfortable and lighter as well. I'm looking forward to taking her out for a spin tomorrow!

. I'd really like to see what you could do in an Aquathon. Your swim times, coupled with your speed would be be hard to match.
I've seen some complaints about the course in Rehoboth (bad directions by course volunteers, measuring long, etc), but otherwise its a great and fast marathon.
dpcalc.org says at 83/80 the suck index is 160. That was the low end of what it was out there yesterday.
