I am soooooooo excited about this. I can not tell you how many e mails I have sent to Derrick Hall requesting a race that incorporates Chase field. Well we got it and it includes fan fest. Hell yes I am so in for this.

I of course did not get any credit for this idea
My original idea was to try to contain most of the race to Chase field by incorporating the concourse and ramps. I believe the Yankees do something like that.

He has a few CC buddies he is going to try and hook up and run with. Based on the weather forecast, I'd bet there are 25,000+ tomorrow.
Take it slow and ease back into it. You know better than I so don't bite off too much because you're feeling good. Like the guys always say, remember to keep your eye on the prize.
If its a real trail race then yes it'll be considerably slower than a road race. Real trail is going to be tight single track trail with lots of the stuff mentioned above. Some races call themselves trail races but end up being nothing more than a crushed stone path through the woods. I wouldn't consider that a trail race.
, although I do listen to my iPod with just one ear bud in (I actually cut the other one off). Sometimes it's a runner trying to pass, sometimes it's a bobcat flying down the hill toward me chasing a squirrel (happened a couple of weeks ago), but it's good to be able to hear what's going on around you on the trail.

x. He ran 23:30 last year. My 11 year old daughter ran/walked the whole course for the first time this year with one of her buddies from school. After I finished up and caught I my breath, I jogged the course backwards until I found them and then "paced" them the rest of the way in. She managed to finish just under 45:00.

I was surprised how quick that was at such a low HR/effort.
Running at these low HRs for recovery and MLR/LR is what seemed to really kick my fitness into gear. I'm a believer. Siked to see you back in the saddle. You'll find your legs soon enough. Big old :finger: being able to run that fast when you're "so out of shape".
