I noticed that too. So he is right on pace. I guess I don't need to keep refreshing for a few hours now. HaInto Vincent Point at 8:17. They changed his starting time to 5:00. So there at 3:17. Basically right on time for his 31 hour slot.

I can’t imagine 11.5 miles uphill. I am happy to see he is following his plan so far.
Yeah, good point. Gotta be nice having some company out there.Looks like he's running with a pretty sizeable pack of runners that all checked in around the same time and left the same time. That's gotta help.

Get you some!Should be arriving Eagles Roost soon. Once he does, I'll go out and run. I'm gonna run 100 also..............closer to 100 feet.
Most ultras provide checkpoint updates in batches of runners, considering the aid stations are very often in remote areas and the updates are being communicated via ham radio operators. So they’ll have X runners come in over the course of XX minutes, and then radio them all in as of XX:XXam. So he’s unlikely to be running in a group, but those runners are all likely +/- 15 minutes of him. If that makes sense...Looks like he's running with a pretty sizeable pack of runners that all checked in around the same time and left the same time. That's gotta help.

So, the cutoff times allow an hour between these two stations. And if the times are right, he's at about 57 minutes. We need him to arrive soon. Unless the website is delayed in getting the times up. Or the Ham radio people do as you said above. Regardless, I'm not running until he arrives. But couldn’t decipher that text so of course I look at the website after posting that and the updates throughbaid stations do look like they’re possibly real time. So who knows.
Actually, it says this on the desktop version of the tracking....so I think you are right. But couldn’t decipher that text so of course I look at the website after posting that and the updates throughbaid stations do look like they’re possibly real time. So who knows.
Not sure I follow? If he was out of Islip at ~noon (7 hours), wouldn’t the cutoff for Eagle’s Roost be at 2:05pm (9hr5min)? And it looks like that’s just 2.4 miles. So, the cutoff times allow an hour between these two stations. And if the times are right, he's at about 57 minutes. We need him to arrive soon. The cutoff time at Eagles Roost was 8:05 and the cutoff time for Eagles Roost was 9:05 (hence my one hour comment). I just wanted him to keep distancing himself from the cutoff times to keep banking time for later. Make sense? Not sure I follow? I thought you meant he only had 57 minutes to get there or he’d miss the cutoff. I think it's mostly @gruecd , @MAC_32, and me that do runs in the middle of the day. But I'm not doing the distances they do.And he’s through cloudburst.
....and I’m sweating like crazy on my run. @gruecd and the rest of you afternoon/evening runners are crazy. No way is this better than an early morning run.

In honor of duck I went ?. Yards in the community pool. And km on the bike.Should be arriving Eagles Roost soon. Once he does, I'll go out and run. I'm gonna run 100 also..............closer to 100 feet.
Hey! During the week I do too! In Alabama, when it's 90°/150SI. Cuz I'm stupid.
When it's hot here in the afternoon it isn't much better in the morning - 75/71 or 87/63. Gimme the slightly worse conditions with a side of more sleep and a midday small human sanity break. But my wife prefers the morning shift anyway.
My fault, yep, I completely forgot I see yours pop up around the same time.In honor of duck I went ?. Yards in the community pool. And km on the bike.

No kidding, most of us would rather run 33 hours than watch a baseball game for 36Hell yeah Duck! I’m at the Twins game, which is more painful than a 100 miler. No question.

It’s all downhill from here. Get you some BMF mountain love action @SFBayDuck!In at Chilao at 17:21. That's 12:21. Smack dab in the middle of 31 and 33 hrs.
Next checkpoint will be the halfway mark. So far, holding strong.
Go, @SFBayDuck, go!!
DNF mile 52, pulled by Medical. So excited for Duck! Hope his legs and tummy are holding up.
You are still one tough BMF.DNF mile 52, pulled by Medical.
And the tummy it was. I just started puking and couldn’t stop, couldn’t hold anything down. When I got to the aid station the medics were waiting for me as other runners had given them a heads up. They put me right on a cot and I instantly started spasming and cramping all over. Severe electrolyte imbalance. Then I just started shivering uncontrollably. They wrapped me in 5 blankets but I couldn’t stop shaking. They fed me broth and Gatorade, massages both quads that kept locking up, but I couldn’t stop shaking. After about 45 minutes I was finally starting to improve, but they said they couldn’t let me go on. And for the first time, I had my wristband cut off before the finish.
So, so bummed.
Damn, sorry to hear.DNF mile 52, pulled by Medical.
