I tried to search for this in a thread with no luck...

What is the best site to use for generating a random draft order... I know I've used one before where you can enter the # of teams and each manager's email addy and it will generate order and send an email to everyone.

Many leagues use the Irony Dice Server to generate a single 1000 sided die roll, with the draft order running from lowest to highest.

One thing to remember is to make sure everyone sends the results to the commish. The irony dice roll is a good vehicle to determine draft order.

Can't remember the naem of the site, but You can enter each person's name and Email and then just type in the # of people in the league....

One mass email is then sent out by the site to each manager with their draft position and the order of all teams.

I did a google search and found this OLD thread that referenced http://www.irony.com/mailroll.html and I really like the idea of having individual owners clicking a button and having the results emailed, but apparently this website doesn't exist any longer. Does anyone have something similar to use in 2010? Is the fftoolbox the way to go?

This is the one to use. Waiting on owners to respond to your emails can be a total waste of everyone's time. Just click the FFtoolbox randomizer and it's legit and done in a flash.

I think the best option is to go with ...an Auction! I know I am being a smarta** and don't want to hijack but isn't this part of the reason why a straight draft increases the need for luck and is second best to a system that allows those who want a guy to go and get him? At least use a reverse order from the previous year's standings or something to make the season that much more important and also have a foundational basis for a particular order and not the luck of the roll.

I just used this in the league I commish as well. No one had a problem since it is emailed to everyone. I also snapped a screen shot of the results and sent that to the league as well.
